I bought this for my son to take to college and use for class. He wanted to be able to play during down time. This was the perfect mix of long battery life, lots of Ram, large hard drive and impressive graphics. Since opening the box it was not disappointing in any function. He will get lots of use with this in school.

This laptop has solid performance for it's price range. Many games I can play in 1080p with medium to high settings with the 1050Ti. The laptop does get rather warm but I recommend setting up and installing NitroSense at the minimum. Having a laptop cooler to go under it wouldn't hurt either but overall, I'm satisfied with it.

I just want to say that after owning the laptop for 6 months now, all in all, the Nitro 5 is a nice product for the price, and I would buy it again if I had a need for a cheap gaming laptop. That said, there are a few things I can say about it that may help you decide if this is the computer for you. Let start with the Pros. It's light-weight, and easy to carry, it's cooling system does that job, and its battery lasts longer then I assumed. The Cons, the reviews talking about the quality of the screen seem correct. I don't pretend know every detail of what screens should do, but I do know that this one seems dark (playing with the settings did help a bit) and my more expensive gaming laptop i had right before this one seemed nicer. So maybe go for something better if that is an issue for you. Honestly, I've grown use to it and find that with the games I play, it's nothing to really complain about. Also, the only other thing I was disappointed about was the mouse buttons seem cheap and sticks sometimes, but again, I don't play with a mouse so it doesn't present itself as a problem for my gaming needs. Hope this has helped.

This is a perfect laptop for someone like me who is a college student that likes to game on the side. I can do my college work on nthe side and take a break and play a game such as csgo. One downside is that the battery life without being plugged in is kind of short and if you are gaming you want to make sure you are plugged in

it's a good computer for kids at school they can use it for homework and then completed use to play games, a big screen with nice color balance, convenience ports, only con the weight but still portable, big keyboard and bluetooth and wifi works perfect with all peripherals connected. Acer well made Laptop.

Found this gaming laptop and was in need of a laptop to run AutoCAD software on. Added bonus that I can play video games on it. Does everything that I need it too. Love that it has a separate graphics card. Have always had integrated graphics and am highly impressed with having a dedicated graphics card.

I ordered this laptop on sale during Black Friday for a great price. Nice gaming laptop. Came with 8 GB of RAM so I plan on adding more memory and maybe installing a bigger SSD. The SSD makes it worthwhile in terms of speed. My daughter loves it!

I've never had an i5 processor but I honestly can't tell a difference between this laptop and my desktop that has an i7 I love the 1080p display the red lights under the keyboard overall great purchase for gaming it didn't come with an hdd but I got a 2tb and put it in before I ever turned it on and it all works great

Nice features for a low price. Has light up keyboard, slots for an additional SSD or HD upgradable to 32 MB ram. I've had it for maybe a month or two, no issues. Also the additional HD port and ram ports are easily accessible. No need to take the entire base of the laptop off. Very happy with this.

I was actually looking at a different more expensive laptop when I went in to Best Buy but then this laptop caught my eye and still had all the specs that I needed and even a nicer look to it. it has definitely been able to handle the graphics requirements for the program's I've ran through it with no problem.

It always seems, when you buy a computer, that your start to notice it slowing down over time. I haven't experienced this issue yet with the lap top. 1 year later and it is still working great. My only issue is the lights on the keyboard. There is no way to control that function. Either turning them off, or making them stay on longer. It's not really an issue if i'm using it during the day. But at night, I like to play in my bed while my wife is asleep. The lights on the key board will go out after 30 seconds. So you get a cut scene, or a slow moment in a game, and suddenly, "Oh now a monster is attacking! Where are my keys?!" Looking on line, it seems like a common complaint. But definitely not a deal breaker.

We bought this laptop as a gift for our son. He has been very happy with its performance. He does lots of gaming as well as 3D modeling. I would have given 5 stars but our first one had a bad wifi card so we had the exchange it for a new one. Best Buy was amesome in taking car of the exchange.

Managed to snag this on Black Friday for $600, and was surprised at the quality of the device. I don’t have many current gen games, but with an additional 8GB of RAM I added, this thing runs last gen at ultra at 60fps. Too bad my wife bought this for her cousin, or I might’ve become a PC gamer again.

I’m not a gamer, my household is team apple. I started school and I needed something to keep up my MacBook was always frustrating me so I wanted to prove windows is better and it work the speed is amazing love the look. If you’re impatient with technology this is awesome simple for user and super fast.

Anytime I see a gaming laptop under $1000 I'm always concerned that it will not perform as described, However, this laptop has exceeded expectations, I primarily use it for World of Warcraft and at the ultra setting I still get 40fps, at the recommended settings I get 100fps. Very Satisfied!

Got this computer for my wife, our other computers that we've gotten in the past have been too slow and couldn't keep up with our needs. When I saw the specs on this, I had to go for it and spend the extra 100-200 dollars. Completely worth it and I'd do the same thing again.
