Great Low Cost Gaming Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, you're getting a real bang for your buck. I was a little weary with an i5 processor. I thought it wouldn't handle games but, the 1050ti on board picks up all the slack off the lower power processor. It handled fortnite great. Never a hiccup or stutter. Boot times are fast due to the SSD. My only complaint is that I'll probably fill up 256 gb fairly quickly. I was also impressed with the weight of this rig. I've seen other gaming laptops that weigh as much as a Buick but, this one seems fairly portable. It's no Ultrabook but, it's not terrible. My biggest complaint, all be it slightly nitpicky, is the keyboard backlight. It goes if after 30 seconds of inactivity and per Acer's website, there's no changing this. This wouldn't be a huge issue if the letters on the keys weren't completely invisible in the dark. So keep that in mind. Battery life is ok. 4 ish hours. Definitely a laptop meant to be plugged in. I think if you're looking for a gaming laptop in this price range, you'll be pretty pleased with this one.

Great gaming system for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this system up to replace a slightly older, much heavier gaming laptop. For the price, this is a nice entry level gaming system that runs well right out of the box. I highly recommend grabbing at least an extra 8GB of ram to get the best performance out of this sytem.

First Gaming Laptop - Exceeded Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using this for bookkeeping and gaming. Runs fortnite, Overwatch, Minecraft, and Siege perfectly. Opens programs very quickly. Run so much better than my regular HP laptop from 2008. I got the red and black. I would recommend getting an external storage device, games seem to hog up space.

Decent laptop
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop. Bought it to box an account for a mmorpg. I had problems getting my mouse to work on it with multiplicity. Not super knowledgeable about this stuff, so could have been user error. Runs well, doesn't lag in game, picture is nice.

decent gaming PC for a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Entry level gaming PC that gets you started. Decent battery compared to the several thousand dollar ones for over half the price. You do lose some in specs, but should be enough to handle most games. However, as most laptop batteries go quickly I treat it a little more like a portal desktop.

Good For The Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion, this is a pretty solid laptop if you want something that'll let you game without breaking the bank. It boots quickly, has nice crisp sound, and can handle pretty high graphical settings on pretty much all my games. Granted, I don't play anything that's too taxing, but it still is a nice visual experience. Keyboard also seems pretty sturdy, and has a satisfying "clack" as you type. NitroSense is also pretty cool. It lets you keep a close on on CPU and GPU temp and fan speed, and allows you to turn the fans up and down as you wish. The only reason I knocked a star off is battery life. Don't expect to go too long without having to plug this thing in. I don't lug my laptop around to too many places, so It's not a huge deal for me personally, but I can see this being a problem if you like to take your device on the road, or go hang out at a coffee shop or something. Overall, I'm satisfied, and would buy this again, and recommend it to others. It's a good get for the money.

So Far, So Good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this laptop and the price! So far, I've loaded it up with MS Office Suite to include Project and Visio, plus World of Warcraft. Let's see what happens after the 26 Aug release of the game....also, upgraded the memory to 16 GB. No brainer there. The only thing that could be better is the placement of the USB ports - ie., one on each side - the one on the right interferes with mouse pad/mouse - but, this is by no means a showstopper. The only other annoyance is that the back lit keyboard shuts off rather quickly, so if you are on your deck outside, using the laptop, you kinda have to poke around to get it to light up....lol. Again, not a showstopper. The battery has been okay for my use - no complaints there.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is amazing. It has a 1050 that runs any game you want. The resolution is full 1080p. Most laptops at this price range dont have both of those. The build quality is not the best but it is not a $2000 laptop. For the price, this is a great laptop.

Worth The Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nitro 5 is a very good laptop for people looking to buy a budget laptop that can run games well. The only issue I have noticed is the laptop can get really hot after an hour of gaming, but thats just something you have to manage. Overall, I really like the laptop.

Awesome computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great computer and easily handles gaming. The USB ports are a little stiff and hard to get the drive into but other than that everything is great. Screen is super bright, and the laptop definitely gets hot, so you might want to get a thing for it to breathe.

Great laptop for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve loaded most my steam library and some other platforms and I’m having a great time getting back into gaming on PC. Handles just about most games on ultra settings and not too worried about the others on high settings. It’s fast to boot and easy to work with without issues

I Like It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first “gamer” laptop. I shared the specs with my son and he agreed that for the price this is a darn good computer. Judging by the other reviews and the fact that I like it, it gets max stars from me.

Great computer for the money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been pleasantly surprised with this little gem of a laptop! Setup was quick and easy. I can have multiple pages running at once, and there is no noticeable slowdown. It may seem a bit on the large side and clunky side, but I have fallen in love with it.

Good value for entry level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my son to use for school and basic gaming. He spends a lot of time on Minecraft and Fort Nite, of course and the graphics keep up well with pretty fast response. Wished the SD and ram were 16/512gb instead of 8/256gb but its a good place to start for the price.

Great gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this for about 6 months now and it hasn’t let me down yet, I would consider getting a cooling pad considering it is a laptop and depending on the games you run the cpu will get very hot. But other then that it’s a great beginner pc

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop runs most games high settings 1080p. I used a software to under volt the cpu that gave it much better performance no throttling and added 8gb ram for a total of 16GB. Runs as good as my ryzen 2700x desktop machine.

decent for entry level
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent little entry level gaming laptop. poor design for cooling though, as it can get a bit toasty and you may experience thermal throttling. don't try to stream and play games on this, while it MAY actually do it, its going to struggle.
