The ssd is nice and the graphics card works great for for first person shooters the only issue that I have with the laptop is the battery life but it’s to be expected.

Played all my games, Call of Duty etc. with no issues. A little bulky by today's standards but not bad. Think it's worth getting the TI video card rather than the standard 1050 card. No issues to report, the fans could be a bit quieter but most of them are loud. This is the cheapest gaming laptop I could find that actually runs pretty well, I think it is well worth the price. Paid $719 on sale for mine.

Bought it a month ago. Turned it on and walked through the built-in tutorial without issue. I'm nearly 70, so that's saying a lot. My last laptop was a Sony Viao, a great, easy to use unit that lasted for nearly ten years, so transitioning from Windows 7 to Windows 10 has been somewhat of a vertical learning curve. However, having always used a PC it truly is more intuitive and easier for me than an Apple. This seems like a sturdy unit. I like the lighted keyboard and it runs my flight sim at max definition and frame rate. We'll see how well it does over time, then I'll let you know more.

The computer is fast and awesome graphics it was easy to get it up and running. Battery life is a little disappointing but is definitely a good computer.

I got this laptop during the Black Friday sale for $600. I am just a casual gamer and If I adjust my game settings, I am easily getting 60fps. the 256gb SSD runs out very quickly if you install a couple of games so I have added a 500GB SSD. Battery life is not that great, I am getting 4-5 hrs of screen on time and 2 hrs If I'm gaming. The Nitro Sense software comes pre-installed and helps with the thermals. Very happy with the purchase so far

I bought this computer to send my son off to his freshman year in college. I was looking for something that could manage school-related needs, carry enough power and storage, and satisfy his enjoyment of gaming. He said he is extremely happy with this computer as it is fast, has great graphics and can meet all his needs around online learning, essay composition and other class related functions. He also really likes the full , large keyboard. So, although I haven't used it myself, this computer is a thumbs up from my college-aged son and who better to endorse it!!!

Got this computer as a replacement for an MSI that was the pits. From day one the MSI computer gave me nothing but aggravation. Best Buy service saw my frustration and concerns and worked it ALL out. The tech told me this computer was close to the same speed, efficiency and performance as the MSI, and it was $200 cheaper which was another plus. This computer has far exceeded my expectations and has not disappointed at all. It never lags, it never freezes, very fast even for gaming. So glad to have a computer that does what it is supposed to do and NOT OVERHEAT

Laptop performs really good, for the price it has many features such as backlit keyboard and solid state drive. Well worth the price.

I'll give this 5 stars for what t is, which is a budget gaming laptop. Sure there are better gaming laptops out there, but they come at a premium. For the target demographic that this laptop is aiming for, I think they got it just about right. Fast boot up, excellent speed out of the processor, nice screen, dedicated graphics card, all at an excellent price. Battery life is acceptable, but it stays plugged in while gaming. Fan noise mostly an issue while gaming and speakers aren't the greatest, but use of headphones makes these shortcomings a non-issue.

I got this laptop for college and for gaming. It has a good amount of space,its fast,it doesn't freeze on me. It has great quality and graphics.

This laptop is a powerful device that very few laptoos can co.pete considering the price. I absolutely love the ssd this device comes with, i turn on the laptop and i'm ready to use google chrome within 12 seconds. Gaming on this device is also better than i expected. The Gtx 1050ti is more than enough if you want to have a good gaming esperience in most game titles. This card is great for games like overwatch, rs6, and gtav.

The Acer Nitro 5 gamming laptop is perfect for a "starter" gaming laptop. I don't need a super duper fast gaming laptop. So this one works just fine for me. Intel Core i5. Good amount of memory. Good video card. Nice price point WHEN ON SALE. Works fine with one game I tried so far. Game I tried on it is the new BattleTech which makes any PC or laptop work hard. The game ran nicely. Would be nice to know if there is a way to keep the backlit keyboard light on longer. It stays on way to short.

I spent over a year waiting for the best deal I could find on a laptop. I decided on this laptop because the cost to performance was surperior to many similar laptops. This laptop has impressive specs for the price range; with a 1050ti and 8th gen core i5, it can run most games with good settings comfortably. I’m happy that I got this laptop and haven’t ran into flaws yet. The lack of bulk storage is not ideal, but the addition of a cheap Hardrive is fairly easy. Big fan of this laptop, especially for the price.

Our last laptop took forever to boot up once it was turned on. My wife insisted our new one must load quickly. I found this computer with the solid state hard drive and we could not be happier. It's ready to use in just seconds once it's turned on and it easily handles changing programs. The sound is very nice when playing music/movies and the monitor is very nice as well. I like that the keys light up in red so you can see in dim/low light settings. It's a really nice value for the price!

I am not an extreme gamer, but I do like to play some and this laptop is so much easier to use and understand. The main thing I am using this for is real estate pictures that I have to post through Dropbox and this computer edits the photos just as I do them. There is no lag to this at all. So happy the Geek Squad understood what I needed.

This laptop is pretty darn great. It is fast. That was the biggest concern I had when shopping for a laptop. The only complaint I have is the very short battery life. It lasts like 4 hours, maybe 5 if I'm only editing documents or something else requiring minimal processing power. I guess this should have been expected as it was listed. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but now I realize how short that really is. Next laptop I buy will have better battery life.

I purchased this laptop for my cousin, he's a hardcore gamer but can't afford the more expensive systems. I chose the one with SSD drive cause it makes a lot of difference in boot up times. The laptop takes about 5 seconds to start the OS. He's very happy with the speed and the picture quality. The laptop has a great gaming design which was very appealing for him, but also great for everyday school tasks. I think I'm buying another one for son.

At first, I was a little unsure if I wanted to get this model or not. But after looking around at other gaming laptops I am glad I have choses this one! For the price, and how amazingly fast it is blows me away. The ability to control the fans is a huge plus it never over heats on me. If you play games like world of Warcraft this laptop handles it so smooth!

This laptop is fast, good at switching windows, with clear sound and voice-to-text interaction, and excellent graphics in HD. I wish I had seen that the huge mousepad area (only the middle works for clicks) doesn't come with the right and left buttons. This is fine for touchscreens, but it's a hassle with regular PCs. How do you move windows around to get one out of another window's way? You need an external mouse.
