I am not a big PC gamer I rather playing on consoles. However, so far I have been able to play games such a Street Fighter V, Call of Duty World at War II, Halo The Master Chief Collection, etc ., among others very smoothly. I really enjoy the 17 inches screen and the colors and brightness are decent. One small detail is that after playing for a while the bottom of the laptop tends to warm up more than what I would like.

Extremely happy with this purchase. Very fast, plays most modern games at moderate to high settings without any issues and without breaking the bank. Definitely recommend this one for a casual to moderate PC gamer that wants to play most games out there. With that being said, if you're that serious about playing the latest and greatest on the highest settings possible, this is not for you. Just go build a PC.

Amazing laptop for the price!! Works great, it has great graphics and is super fast.

We purchased this laptop as a birthday present for our son, who loves games. He absolutely loves this computer and he has zero complaints about it. This is the first non-Apple computer our family has purchased in the last 12 years, so I was skeptical, but he is very satisfied with it and recommends it to all of his gamer friends. The price was great for what it does and he says it looks "cool," so that must mean it looks good, too.

I purchased this for myself for my Birthday, after living with a cheap Lenovo for a while. When I received it, I was very pleased with the sharp graphics, speed and light weight of this laptop. The price was reasonable and delivery was next day free!! I have had this laptop for about a month now and haven't any issues with it. Money well spent. Happy Birthday to me!!

nice computer, good graphics, good price for the machine

I was ready for a bigger laptop, I wanted a backlit, quiet keyboard, and the Office products I need for my graphics design work. Wanted to be sure all my existing files would transfer from my W7 to W10. This ACER Nitro 5 ticks all the boxes and more! I must admit I'm not into gaming, but this laptop has the speed and accuracy I really appreciate! Fast startup, fast shutdown. Awesome machine! Happy Mother's Day to me!

great excellent great great great great great great easy to use fast super gaming computer

This is my first gaming laptop and I can really tell the difference now between a gaming laptop and a regular laptop. It seems much faster and handles graphics much better. Visual quality is excellent. I don’t use audio much but it seems to be less output than I would ideally like. Overall though, I am loving this product. If you are one who has had a gaming computer before, I have no idea how this compares.

It's not perfect. It's a great laptop for the price. If it's bad it's easy to upgrade and it does perform. With or without upgrades. Good for price...

Great size and speed. Working well for Photoshop and Illustrator which is exactly what I bought it for.

Upon powering up the laptop and after the initial setup, I found that only the f, n, o, s and x keys work on the keyboard. The keypad is completely dead and only the 2, 5 and 7 number keys work. I jumped through the tech support hoops of "try this, try that" with nothing working. I've been in IT for 35 years and setup countless laptops while working as a Desktop Administrator. This is the first time I've ever had a laptop fail out of the box and this is my first time trying Acer. As someone else said, Acer wants me to ship this off to a repair depot. Are you insane??? It's now 4 hours old and they want me to have it repaired? How about investing in better quality control? As for their tech support, I won't be expecting an email from Acer as the second gentleman I spoke with had a difficult time figuring out how to spell me name, even using the NATO phonetic alphabet. Bordered on useless. I'll be returning the laptop and buying from a company I know does quality work.

I am not particularly tech savvy anymore and even I could figure this thing out. It runs SO much better then any laptop I've had before. Honestly I forgot that games could even run smoothly. I have even tried playing a game while I had up to three tabs open. No problems. I'm still just getting settled into it, but so far I am highly impressed. I definitely recommend it.

The Nitro video driver is smart, so it turns on automatically based on the program using it! Fast boot and ready to go in seconds!

I have owned this lap top for all most two months and is very easy to use.. It also looks amazing! So happy with this purchase and would highly recommend.

Got this on sale for $750 and it works beautifully. I've had it for a little over a month and I haven't run into any problems with it so far. Loads fast, sound quality is pretty good, and the discrete graphics card significantly improved my gaming experience. The camera could be better but I don't expect anybody looking at this laptop to be interested in making videos from it. It gets the job done and is decent enough for video calling. The keyboard layout is a little cramped at times, so it might take a while to get used to if you're an avid writer, or especially if you use the right shift key often. Design is obviously meant for "uber intense gamer boys" so if you want something that won't attract a lot of attention or has a subtle design this isn't for you. The laptop is pretty hefty so it's not ideal for travel, unless this is your only luggage or you have beefy shoulders. It can get pretty hot while in heavy use (using both the cpu and gpu) so be careful if you have it on a bed or your lap while doing so. This isn't something I would worry about if you just have a browser and a word processor open. I would recommend this for anybody wanting to upgrade from a $500 laptop but not wanting to go the full 9 yards to buy a desktop, especially if you can catch this on sale. Great use of my money

Excellent value for a core use and gaming laptop. The amount of memory and specs of this laptop makes it very diverse in use. Easy for my boys and I to use. We enjoy the large 17.3" screen and wide keyboard. The gaming features and ease of use is a big hit with my boys, and as they say its "fire"! The price for what you get is what made this a hit for me!
