Customers are saying

Customers admire the Predator Orion 5000's high performance in games, resulting in high FPS rates, especially at higher resolutions. They also appreciate its ease of use and impressive specifications for the price. However, some customers express concerns regarding the CPU cooling system and the included RAM. The system's ability to handle demanding games is a major selling point.

Very happy with this prebuilt, got it on sale 2 years ago at this point and it’s still an absolute monster. Only slight downside is 1tb off the line but that’s an easy fix.

Purchased when it was $500 off. Great specs. Ready to play after about 15 mins of setup. I upgraded to 2x16gb Acer Predator RGB DDR5. Did not have to move the heat sync but one of the ram sticks is pressed firmly against it. Predator Sense software comes installed so you can customize all your RGB settings.

1st time getting a gaming PC after playing PlayStation for 12+ years. Did a lot of research on building my own and I didn't feel comfortable with doing it in fear of me not setting it up properly. I decided to settle on the Orion 5000 and I absolutely LOVE this PC, 5/5 stars. Runs every game perfectly !!!

Decent components and overall quality to most components. The power supply was the only component that was not a normal brand and the mounting point for one ssd is part of the case. Easy to upgrade if needed.

I prefer to build PCs when possible, but time is valuable, and planning/troubleshooting custom builds is time-consuming, so if you are like me, you understand the appeal with the time savings of getting a pre-built PC. As with all products, nothing is truly perfect, but this Acer - Predator Orion 5000 (Model:PO5-640-UB12) is very close to perfection out of the box for a heavy gaming use case. I recommend upgrading the stock CPU heat sink, as Intel 12th generation Adler Lake runs hot, and per Intel's design will thermally throttle performance at 100°C. Constant high operating temperatures shortens the life span of electronics, and I like to take care of my equipment. I went into this PC fully aware that the stock CPU heat sink is not sufficient to cool the 12700F under sustained heavy workloads, so I did research on a new CPU cooling solution. Liquid cooling will get you better thermal cooling performance in comparison to air cooling, but at the cost of lower reliability and potential for catastrophic failures (i.e., liquid leaking from the cooler which short circuits your PC, worse case scenario with air cooling, is that a fan stops working, and you can replace the fan). You can likely understand why I decided to go the air cooling route, as the extra few degrees °C of cooling didn't weigh heavily into my use case. I used the Scythe Fuma Rev.B based on the review of the performance of this air cooler from Gamers Nexus. This heat sink fits perfectly in the case, and Scythe includes two extra fan clips, so you can reuse the existing Predator 120mm fan from the CPU cooler, and have a 3 fan 120mm fan CPU cooler setup with the Fuma heat sink. Just be aware, you will need to disassemble the PC in order to remove the motherboard from the case in order to install the LGA1700 mounting bracket for the Fuma heat sink, and subsequently reassemble it. That said, if you wish to go the liquid cooling route, there is space for a 240mm AIO liquid cooler at the top of the case. Overall, I recommend this PC as a good value for those want to save time and get the best pre-built with a RTX 3080.

An Amazing prebuilt. Fast and quiet performance. I use it primarily for flight simulation and love this system. I also use it as my main backup system for videos and photos. I upgraded to 32GB RAM and added a 6TB HDD. Very easy to upgrade and the chassis is designed for it. Love the 12th Gen i7 and very impressed with the RTX 3080. Efficient and quiet cooling fans.

Just got this home yesterday. I'll just review the initial experience and update my review if anything changes. But overall, it was a very smooth experience. The fit and finish on the tower is excellent. Lights look really good. Inspected the installation inside the tower and everything seems to be on point. Haven't been able to test it at 4K, but it's running AAA games blindingly fast on 1080p Ultra. Keyboard and Mouse that came with it are nothing to write home about, but definitely usable if you didn't already have nice ones. It is bigger than it looks in the pictures, at least to me - make sure you measure if you have space constraints. All the port selections I need... Really happy with the purchase so far, especially on the Black Friday Deal. I think the MSRP of $2300 is a little bit high, but even then you are also paying for convenience. I will also say that the more minor components on this prebuilt (PSU, MoBo, Tower, etc) are probably a little bit nicer than you'd get from the cheaper 3080 builds out there. Not as good as building it yourself, but if you want the best of the best, get a custom build or do it yourself.

If you are looking for a gaming desktop without going through the hassle of piecing everything together yourself. This pre-built is definitely the way to go! Everything I've thrown at it I've been able to play at Max settings. Also has good air circulation. Just be sure to run a diagnostic after you get everything set up to make sure there are no faulty parts.

Other than the GPU going bad after 1 1/2 months, Computer is a BEAST. GPU is covered under MFW. Just had to send it back. WELL worth the asking price minus the headache of sending it back

-Great deal for what’s inside! Was concerned about cooling & no issues. Space does exist for a 240 AIO cooler to mount Below topside vent w screw holes already drilled out or additional push pull fans / easy to work inside -Found DDR5 compatible upgrade on the Crucial website with 4800 speed rating. -SSD isn’t the largest but 2 convenient expansion trays can be used if needed. -Kinda skimped on odd motherboard and conflicting information on the exact type of I7 (it’s an F type/ odd to save a few dollars on the F) Best I’ve found for the money and future proofing all things considered.

I've had this PC now for over a year now and has worked wonderfully. Runs smoothly and has the strength to run Cyberpunk 2077 with full raytracing no problem. I highly recommend buying this PC if you are considering.

This beast is amazing. It is so practical. So easy to connect your devices to and very powerful and smart. It is future proved. It automatically downloaded all the drivers for my new and very old devices. By the way, thank you Best Buy agents for being patient with me. It took me a while to decide for the right computer and i'm very satisfied. And the cherry on top would probably be the discounts i received for my now favorite computer. Pictures will be upladed at a later time after i finish renovating my mancave.
