I really wanted to like this chromebook, but had to return it. The screen is really bright and clear and when closed that laptop looks really nice. The material around the keyboard is plastic (not aluminum) and has a terrible amount of give. The give happens sometimes when typing (near the bottom 2 rows of the keyboard) or when near the top of the trackpad. The hinge is also plastic, and it seems to be very fragile. When typing, the screen also moves quite a bit, and when using the touch screen, the screens moves more than I would expect. This leads me to believe that the hinge is not very strong, and probably will fail at some point. I've been using an Acer Chromebook 14, when has a much better build quality and performance for my needs.

Build quality was great for this price. I don't know if I had a bad unit or if it was just a slow machine in general. With only a single tab open I often found the machine could not keep up with my typing and keystrokes were not being registered. Most reviews said noticeable lag would occur with multiple tabs open but I found websites would lag with a single tab and I have adblocking add-ons to chrome. Even compared to the crappy chromesticks we use at work this was slower. So my experience was worse performance than most of the major review sites stated. Too bad too because it did feel good and was lightweight.

We've (my family) have had this laptop for a year now. It has been nothing but an awesome laptop. The build quality is excellent. (I wish they offered this model with Windows 10 and the appropriate chips, I like it that much!). We have had no issues with it whatever. It has run flawlessly. We use it daily. I would highly recommend this Chromebook to anyone.

I was looking for something close to a Mac but less expensive and this seem to fill the bill. It is quick doesn't constantly update and easy to use.

Purchased this for my daughter for middle school when her laptop died. So far so good. She really likes how easy it was to set up. it is very user friendly and light weight. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because we haven't had it very long.

My first Chromebook and it's awesome! I was hesitate because I figured it wouldn't have all features of a regular laptop. But for what I need it for like most people this thing is nice. Super quick powers up in 2 seconds. Screen is beautiful and touch screen very responsive. Great Chromebook.

This isn't a high end machine. The screen has some light bleed, build quality isn't up to premium standards, the power brick adds hidden weight. Chrome is also another snooping product from Google. But it is a fantastic value for what it is. Touchscreen is a bonus.

So much faster and simpler than a windows computer if all you need is email and a Web browser. No virus concerns. No software licenses. There are two caveats: printing is not trivial to set up, and you can't plug a DVD drive in and expect to play a movie. With that in mind it's a perfect computer for Web based activities.

Got this computer for my high school daughter and it does exactly what I bought it for. She has used it many hours a week for school work and watching movies. No problems so far

As far as Chromebooks go, this one runs a little on the pricier side, but it's a solidly built machine that doesn't feel as cheap as the others. love the full-sized keyboard.

This is the first chromebook I've used, and I absolutely love it! It's great for taking notes in class.

This is my first Chromebook so I don't have any history to base it on but this R13 is great. You have to go to the beta channel to get Android apps but I have not had any issues. Not buggy and it runs great. I recommend this Chromebook to anyone who is thinking of diving into the Chrome ecosystem.

This system has been wonderful for my daughter. She uses it for school work and YouTube videos with no problems at all. She loves that it easily goes to tablet mode and is touchscreen.

You cant go wrong with this Chromebook. Premium look and feel at a fraction of the cost.

This Chromebook is well built and seems to have all the updated USB ports. I am looking forward to the play store update on the stable channel.

This is a perfect little chrome book if you are just looking for something that has basic capabilities. Not a lot of storage, so you're not playing games or downloading/uploading a million things. Checking emails and browsing the Internet? This is the book for you!

Bought this as a customer-based tool for our business, filling out online applications and such. Has been reliable, fast and user-friendly. An affordable product, but worth the money paid.

This is finally a chromebook that is fast enough to be useful. The touchscreen is great and the battery life is outstanding. The only small issue I have is that it is too heavy for a 13" laptop.

wasn't what I needed, no fault of the sales person, I really liked it, but couldn't use it with some of my applications

I bought this for my 12 year old daughter and she loves it. Perfect for her homework, etc. Only downside is that she cannot use an external DVD player with it.
