The green features are the biggest - and frankly the only - draw here. The Vero looks amazing if you appreciate the rough recycled look. The plastic has a rough texture that feels surprisingly nice, and all the logos and graphics are actually molded into the plastic to avoid the use of a sticker . Nice! The color is a sort of a putty color with yellow speckles, and the rubber feet are the same yellow. Overall it looks sharp. The case is thick and has a fair amount of flex. It is unabashedly plastic and feels like it. The screen has a matte finish which reduces glare and helps offset the fac that the screen is not very bright. Its fine indoors, but in very bright rooms or outdoors, forget it. The screen is also not a touch screen and doesn't support pen. It is 16:9 format too, so not ideal for work. The webcam is fine, not great, not terrible. The speakers ARE terrible. Probably the worst I've heard in a while. They are very poor quality, no bass, and don't get very loud. The keyboard is nice feeling but a little rattle-y. The trackpad claims to be of ocean-bound plastic and it among the better plastic trackpads I've used. No complaints there. Performance is good - the i3 chip is a very nice match for ChromeOS. Battery life is middling - again not great but also not bad. Expect to get 5-6 hours of use out of it at higher brightness levels. My advice is that this is best purchased by someone who appreciates the recycled design and is willing to live with overall mediocre system components (and bad speakers). If you don't care about recycled, I'd suggest you buy a different Intel chrome book plus from ASUS, Lenovo, or HP. This one makes too many compromises for its recycled pedigree.

I was so excited about this chromebook. Everything is great about it, performance, storage, great keyboard, but i was looking for a touch screen also, so i could use it as a tablet too. I reccomend it , but i had it a short time

I really like everything about this Chromebook (I've had many of them) with one exception. People I conduct video calls with over Google Meet report a consistent echo unless I use a headset. I've never had this problem on any other Chromebook. Unfortunately this probably means I will return it. Also the battery life isn't great, maybe 6 hours.

Great speed, and just what we needed for multi-tasking, cloud-based activities (i.e. having a million tabs open at once). Will definitely be buying more of this product for future employees.

Replacing an 6 year old ACER Chromebook. Everything about it is improving my comfort with ever-changing technology. The back-lit keyboard is a beautiful thing for my 68 year old eyes.

out of the box, set up, when auto updating, crashed. restarts took 2-3mins before chrome os appears. 2-3 times noisy fans just running flat out with high pitch whine. with no tabs open. spoke to acer support. did full developer reset. restarts ok now but fans still full on with high pitch whine for 5 mins. every time. with no tabs open. called BB to see if I could get a replacement, went round in circles with the rep for 5 minutes and gave up. also, here's a thought. maybe don't ship it in just the retail box with a UPS sticker on it? typing this on my silent acer chromebook

Great balance of performance and cost. Does everything a non-technical degree college student needs. Only in use for 2 months, so far no issues.

I'm a Chromebook fan and this is a good Chromebook. Not five star perfect, but a solid four. I also am an Acer devotee and this doesn't disappoint.
