Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the X34 34" IPS LED Curved UW-QHD 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor's high refresh rate, large screen size, and high resolution, finding the picture quality and gaming experience excellent. However, some users noted backlight bleed, a common issue with IPS panels, and the high price point. While most could overclock the refresh rate, some experienced difficulties reaching the maximum 100Hz.

    Absolutely Amazing!!

I switched from a 28" 4K monitor to this monitor, and it is utterly amazing. My desktop computer, an MSI, has dual GeForce graphics cards that work in-sync with this monitor to provide stupefying graphics. Playing FF XIV at full settings on this screen is the most impressive gaming experience I have had to date. It feels as if I'm truly in the world I'm playing in. The colors on the screen are sharp, intense, and wonderful. The antiglare coating is not like some I've seen, it is there, but doesn't make the screen dimmer or have a washed-out appearance. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who loves PC gaming. If my desk were large enough, I'd buy another and use them side by side!

Display is great — good IPS colors; unfortunately mine would only overclock to 95 HZ without frame skipping. Also had to turn off the adaptive color change feature as it was too jarring simply surfing pages. All that said, curve is subtle and when in game, very pretty.

The monitor is a beast and takes up a ton of room on your desk. I love it and the screens slight curve does give you a wrap around feel. I am happy with it but it does have some slight back light bleeding around the top corners and there is a little isp glow on the bottom. Only really see it in very dark screens and did not bother me. Took a little work to get the G-sync to work. Image looks good but your not going to be blown away by it.

Best gaming monitor you can buy

If you're looking for a gaming monitor that checks all the boxes, this is it. It had better be for the price. The picture quality, size, construction, and gaming experience are simply the best you can get. That said, there are some downsides: -the big one is quality control issues. Almost all of them will have at least some backlight bleed (mine was minimal), but there's other issues like coil whine, inability to OC to 100 hz, etc to be aware of. Just be prepared for a possible exchange. -stop putting glossy plastic on electronics. it doesn't look good -on screen display navigation is terrible. That's about all the bad things I have to say about this otherwise amazing panel. These issues appear to be fixed with the upcoming x34p later in 2017 (we'll see about quality control), so with this monitor being a bit old, it may be worth it to wait depending on how soon you need it. It's simply the best you can buy right now though.

    G Sync with 100hz UWQHD

Premium monitor for both productivity fidelity in video and graphics editing as well as programming and design due to the screen real estate and IPS panel. Gaming at 100hz with G Sync at this resolution requires a good video card, any card before a GTX 980 Ti will never get you above 100 FPS. And you need 100fps to really take full advantage of this monitor anyway operating at 100hz. 4K monitors are not up to snuff. And finally, this is a first that Best Buy offers anything relative to what the real market values as a good or semi-decent PC product. Is this monitor for you? Combination of solid metal frame, IPS panel with G Sync at 100hz anyone would jump on it. If your wallet can afford it, your wallet can afford the PC configured to run it properly otherwise look somewhere else for the cheaper products.

I have been gaming on PC for close to 20 years and have seen the evolution of displays. I feel like this one if the apex of that evolution. I previously had a 3x23" Acer set up, but the bezels on the monitors made surround display awkward and clunky, so I usually just played on one screen. I recently built a new rig: i7 6700K, 16GB DDR4, GTX 980Ti, and it was OBVIOUS that I needed to upgrade my displays. So I started looking around. Times had changed, IPS had come out, G-Sync was now a thing, high refresh rates, and curved displays were all features that were in high demand. However, there was only ONE display that combined all of these in ultrawide format - the Predator. I was definitely skeptical at spending over $1300 (after taxes) on a display, but after hooking this thing up I will say that it was worth every penny. A favorite feature of this display is GameView, where you can place adaptive and agnostic hipshot crosshairs on the screen for FPS games. The crosshairs even highlight when you have headshots lined up, pretty cool! HELPFUL NOTE: DO NOT connect to this display with hdmi. Use DisplayPort, and make sure you get a DP 1.2 certified cable. I needed a little more length, so I got the Accell B142C-010B from Amazon. You will only be able to use G-Sync and 100Hz refresh if connected via DisplayPort. If you're going to use hdmi, then don't waste your money on this display. Hdmi is limited to 49.97Hz refresh.

I consider myself an avid gamer and my wife says I am a "Techoholic" . I have had ASUS ROG monitors, Dell Ultrasharps and just got rid of my BenQ with Free-sync. I can say without a doubt once set up correctly this monitor is the best I have ever used/scene. I will admit it took some getting used to the new aspect ratio and widescreen. I was reluctant to give Acer a chance as I had two Acer laptops stop working on me years ago and thought they were the "cheap" brand. After trying this monitor quality is top notch, I cannot go back to normal monitors and everything looks and plays amazing. I am running SLI'd MSI 980's and BF4, WoW and The Division look buttery smooth. However I would not recommend this monitor for non gamers as the G sync tech is expensive and they will get virtually no use out of it since most movies only run at 29/30 FPS. If you have the money or are on the fence as I was DO NOT HESITATE to buy the monitor. It comes with a 3 year Acer warranty and I look forward to when my daughter and wife go to bed to use this beauty. This is an expensive upgrade but well worth its asking price.

I really wanted to try g-sync so I initially purchased a 4k model from Acer. While it was a great monitor and 4k is beautiful, I found I couldn't go back to a non ultrawide format. The only thing I had yet to try at this point was a higher refresh rate monitor so I took the plunge with the x34 and it is fantastic. I will say the back light bleed is there, but given how bad some people's monitors have been I've decided mine is definitely tolerable. I only really see it on fully black screens. Colors are fantastic with the IPS panel and 100Hz is amazing for games, though you will need more than a single GTX 1080 to max out current AAA titles and maintain 90-100 fps. If you don't want to spend that kind of money though g-sync works wonders as far down as the 40-45 fps range. Overall an excellent must have monitor in my opinion.

This is not a 600 HZ monitor it is a 60 HZ monitor but can be overclocked to 100 HZ when using Nvidia G-Sync.

Ordered on Tuesday; arrived on Thursday. Set up went smoothly. Really good image clarity and color depth. Impressed with Acer's build quality on this one: it is solid. Overclocks easily. Smooth, blur and artifact free gaming with built-in surround sound at 3440 x 1440.

For gaming there is no better experience or upgrade i've done that can amount to upgrading your display. Its unbelievable the difference going from 1080p to ultra wide 1440p with gsync. The promised land is here.
