    2-Way Center-Channel Speaker

The system has a great appearance and blends in well with the rest of the equipment. However, the display is small and hard to see. The setup was fairly simple, but the instructions were horrible, leaving me in a lot of doubt as to what way I could hook the system up to an amplifier or directly to the tv. The sound is not bad, but you have to turn it up past 50 % to fully enjoy the system. Otherwise, it's not a bad addition to help out the poor sound quality on the new tv.

    Exceeded expectations!

This speaker has gone above and beyond what I thought it would do. I expected a paper thin, bass-less, boring sound, but got so much more. If you want good "sound frequency response" or "dispersion", then buy an appropriate stereo system. If you want a nice solution to improve your TV's sound or a very nice sounding shelf speaker for an MP3 player, this is what you want! I hooked ours to our family room's TV and an Airport Express. It does a tremendous job of filling the room with a full, rich sound, especially for such a compact and cost-effective speaker. This unit outperforms many other similar products! I am amazed! Save the audiophile critique for your media room's sound system.

    Acoustic research speaker bar

I purchased this sound bar to build up the audio of a HDTV I have in my work-out room. For the price, I'm extremely happy with the sound quality and the power. Nice deep sound and it can be cranked to be heard over a treadmill. You can buy better systems, but not for this price. The only thing I didn't like was the connectivity; your only option is the red and white audio cables. However, you have three seperate sets of ports, and three seperate modes to choose from, so that you can connect three components. The remote is small, but nobody likes rooms cluttered with many remotes anyway and you can do everything without it. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase.

    Great!

I purchased this product out of the warehouse online and the price was awesome! I received it very quickly and the setup was extremely simple. The sound is great. We were watching a movie the other night and turned off the system to see how much of a difference it was between that an the TV. The difference was very drastic. I think that a lot of this has to do with the deep bass that it produces that allows you to feel that sound that is coming from it. Please do not take that negatively though, the bass is not overwhelming at all. Overall, I am very satisfied with this system and it is great for people that are set up in smaller apartments, however I am not sure how it would suit you for a bigger room.

Not as good as a multiple speaker surround sound system but you wouldn't be looking at speaker bars in the first place if that's what you wanted. It's a great addition to my new LCD 47" TV. I ordered online and received it in the mail within days. No complaints. I already recommended it to a friend who said that his LCD TV had poor sound.

    Not so great

I didn't expect much from this product, as it was a fraction of the price of several other soundbars ($80 compared to over $200-$400). And of course, I didn't get much. The sound is muddy and the sub is not very powerful. But, at the end of the day, it does what I expected it to do. It does amplify the sound of my Samsung LCD TV. I would recommend this soundbar only for those who just need a little sound amplification, and are not expecting an out of this world sound system. On a better note, it is very visually appealing, so that's a plus.

I was looking for a temperary solution to my sound concerns for my new 37" LCD Insignia TV. This sound bar provided a wider, deeper and higher qual;ity sound tham thjat of the TV speakers and it does so at an afordanle price. It is not a 51 Dolby surround sound system but it is better than the regular speakers of the TV.

This has been a very big help in being able to hear the television better. Some stations are quite loud and others you can hardly hear. This has made the problem much more workable.l

    sadly in need of improvement...

Got this for my parents to improve the sound on their Panasonic plasma tv. This piece on its own is very, very poor. Lucky for me, my parents can't stand the tv too loud, they are actually using this piece to add a little depth to the sound. I was shocked at the poor sound frequency response [or lack thereof] and total lack of dispersion.from a piece of equiptment with the A.R. name on it. Obviously the company that bought them out has little to no idea on how to produce products Americans will listen to.
