Once or twice in a week, I see my projector all in purple. Once I switch off the receiver and powers up again it goes away.
The sound delay will be there and if you do not have a sound system which could adjust the timing of the sound, it will be tough.

I bought this item to watch the Superbowl and have big screen TV's on opposite side of the room without running wires. I set it up and it worked great. When i turned off the "remote" TV, I had a hard time getting it to reconnect when turning it back on. I would get sound but no picture. Sometimes absolutely nothing at all. I had to disconnect EVERYTHING and start over at the source TV. I finally got it to work and left it on for 24 hours to make sure that i didn't have to go through all that again. After Denver won I disconnected it and never used it again. Make sure you unpack your patience when you unpack this device.

We wanted to mount a TV on a wall with no cable outlet, so with this Actiontec transmitter we were able to do that. Works just like a wired connection. No delay, no flaws in picture quality.

Hassle free set up. I now have HD in the kitchen without having to run wire or the need of another cable box.

I mounted a TV above a brick fireplace with floor to ceiling windows on both sides. The cable box is about 15 feet away.. The hookup was simple and the video and sound works very well, no noticeable loss of quality or lag. The only real problem is the IRblaster. As others have noted, it either doesn't work or works inconsistently, an annoyance but not a deal breaker. You just have to point the remote at the TV to turn it on and off, and at the cable box to control the channels and sound volume. The best part is, nice clean installation above the fireplace with no wires! Sweet!

The picture is great, full HD, however about 5% of the time both boxes lock up and need to be power cycled. Still better than running wires.

I had cable TV installed a few months back and they weren't able to put the box in the same wall as my TV. So I had them run it to where I keep my computer and bought this HDMI wireless streamer to connect my cable box to my TV. It was more expensive than I wanted it to be but it has worked flawlessly. The transmitter and receiver are about 15 feet apart with one wall in between them. If you need a similar solution I would recommend this product. I'm not sure if it would work as well of there were multiple walls in between or considerable more distance, but for my needs it works perfectly.

YES! it's pricey, very! but worth the money. As my network doesn't work all the time as it should, this is great, don't have to hook up my laptop to the TV... hubby is very very happy with it.

I wanted an easy way to watch TV outside on our patio. I don't have a cable drop outside and trying to watch via wifi was not working well (stream to laptop; hdmi to TV). I purchased this thinking it would be "ok" at best but the picture quality, sound, etc. is great. No different than the TV inside directly connected to cable. Only downside is I don't keep it hooked up all the time as I don't keep a TV outside. Thus it takes a little bit to setup but it is very simple.

I was thrilled with my first purchase of Actiontec Wireless TV2 transmitter. I am alone and wanted to have the DVR from my basement up to my new television in my kitchen, I have a huge house ...... .it worked flawlessly.......saving me the expense of having a Direct TV service guy come out. The picture is awesome. I loved it so much I went and bought another one. I finally realized I would rather have the DVR brought into my bedroom (Rather than my kitchen) at the other end of the house. It took me several days to get the picture right as it would cut out but finally turned the receiver towards the wall.....it works most of the time......a few times it gets pixelated but not often. I am thrilled with it. The second one I bought I hooked it to my tv in the kitchen from my Direct Tv box in the living room ( I just never go in there to watch that television......so this lets me get use of my Direct TV box I was not using since I seldom watched television in my living room. The picture from there to the kitchen is awesome and never has cut out. I am an 80 year old widow and this was a very easy set up for me. I am so excited having the set up like this.

Can watch cable tv in another room wirelessly.

I love the concept of this. We are able to watch tv wirelessly in another room as long as an existing cable box is hooked up to the transmitter and turned on. The receiver is in our sunroom. My only con is that the IR cable for the remote on the receiver is about 5 feet and we wanted to extend it to about 12 feet for a better connection, but there are no compatible male/female end cables. Found that out by trial and error with 3 different cables, then Actiontec finally responded and stated there is nothing on the market. Therefore, we have rearranged our set-up and will hide the wires through "wall channels". This kit works great...there is a little delay between the reading of the remote, but overall, it sure beats having to have another hardwired cable wire through an exterior wall. It works great for what we needed. This is highly recommended if you plan on using within the same room (what this kit is really intended for) where you can hide the cable box and wires and just have the IR remote cable exposed.

I found the product unreliable. It was recommended and installed by the Geek Squad as part of my home theater upgrade. The install seemed uneventful - mount the devices, connect cables, and power up. But the time delay before the link activated seemed excessive and was annoying. The link dropped several times before it seemed to settle in and the installers left. Each time it was necessary to reposition the transmitter, disconnect and reconnect power to reset the link. The first evening the link dropped regularly when simply changing channels on the TV, again necessitating a power down/power up sequence to make it work again. Day 2 was the same and it became very annoying. The included brochure was little additional help but provided a web address for additional info (very little) and a phone nr to tech support. I called, listened to a recorded greeting (for what seemed like 5 minutes and was of little help) before I got to a tech. His first question after I described my experience was "How close to the transmitter is your wireless router?" Well, It was within about 18 inches (right where the Geek Squad put it). He told me no other emitter should be within 20 ft of the transmitter (not feasible in my case) else mutual interference would likely degrade the link's performance. I think he was right because I had a longer HDMI cable to connect to the transmitter as an experiment and got about 6 ft of separation between the transmitter and my wireless router. Saw no change in link reliability. It still dropped as frequently as before. BTW, the distance between the transmitter and receiver near my TV was less than 20 ft with one interior wall between them. Also BTW, there's no reference to minimum separation of transmitter and other emitters in either the provided documentation or the vendor's web site.

Purchased device to match and share and tv signal from Bedroom to Master Bath. So far working as expected. Distance between devices is less than 50ft. Installation was simple and straightforward. Currently no glitches in signal when turning off/on in either room. There is a minor lag in picture and sound between rooms but it's inconsequential in this situation. HDMI over wireless provides solid advantages.

I was initially looking to purchase Nyrius but I'm so glad that I stumbled across this product which appeared to have similar features at a better price. So far, I am very pleased with this product's performance and picture quality. I'm using this product to mirror two TVs which are close in proximity (50 feet). This products allows me offer different viewing angles across two rooms with an open floor plan. The only complaint I have is the audio lag but this is not really an issue for me since the main tv can provide adequate audio for the two rooms/TVs.

I was able to rid my conference presentations of the all too common cable-clutter.
After installing the receiver to the projector and the transmitter to my laptop, I was amazed how sharp a picture I could project in my office conference room.
Simple setup since no software needed to be installed to my PC. I can also use the DVD output with only the video cable.
