Dead on Arrival out of Box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried this after I tried Microsoft's Wireless Monitor Adapter. Plugged it in and it was dead, no response, was unable to pair, unable to update firmware (as it can only be done wirelessly). Support information from Actiontec was inadequate and poor.

Horrible from the start
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't get 6 months out of it. Lags, choppy, Junk. Wouldn't ever buy again. Literally it was a hassle from the start, had to update the firmware out of the box with support. The hdmi cord never properly worked without me jiggling it a few times. Forget about watching action movies the lag is so bad it won't capture all of what is happening and it will fast forward to catch up. The latest issue has frozen the screen altogether and it won't reboot to default mode.

Fried my t.v.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen beam worked fine the first 4 times using it, but then started disconnecting suddenly, I've had it for 2 weeks and yesterday my TV started acting strange turning itself on and off turning the volume up and down, I turned the TV off it turned itself back on and the volume up to 100 so I had to unplug my tv it appears I will have to buy a new TV because of this product.

Not reliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped working after 4 months (stopped connecting to the tv) Tried to exchange at best buy with receipt to no avail. When it worked it was pretty sweet, but would expect it to last longer than 4 months. Seems to be a common problem with these

It quit working..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved it at first! Now that it is past the return date it doesn't work. Sometimes the screen has the dialogue but no picture. Or it disconnects less than a minute being on. I tried keeping it unplugged because it does get hot thinking it might help. It did not. So sad

Save your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item wasn’t what I thought it would be. Started using it and the connection for it was very choppy plus it took forever to try and connect anything to it

DON'T DO IT...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is not for the patient . It works when it wants to and when you call Technical Support you get a rude know it all on the other line who talks down to you and gets impatient when you can't understand.

As complete waste of time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was thinking of buying a Chromecast for traveling purposes. But after reading about the ScreenBeam Mini 2, I thought that I'd give it a try. Brought the item home, installed it per the instructions; several times. When it worked, it would only work for about 1 minute and then shut down. Even when working it was very slow; almost like watching paint dry. Boxed it back up and returned it in less than 24 hours.

Not android compatible anymore
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Android seems to have patched the display settings to NOT work with these types of devices (tried 6 different phones) so that people have to buy the MHL cable/adapters. I get to drive 2 hours to return it. My tech level is high, and this device is useless anymore, at least for android users.
