This is my second Activ5 (I got one last year). I purchased the first, and fell in love with it. I gifted that one to another family member and this new one is mine:). I used to workout frequently when I was younger, but now with Teenagers and everything that comes with that, I don't have time for the Gym. I was introduced to the Activ5, and after trying one 5-minute workout, I realized how impactful this device could be. Why? 1) Each exercise is calibrated to your strength at that moment in time. So no matter who uses it, or how strong or tired you may be, it gives you the workout that you can handle at that moment. [That's awesome] 2) I can choose to do upper body workouts, lower body workouts, core workouts, and specific body part workouts (chest, shoulder, bicep, calf, hamstring...) 3) I can do workouts anytime, anywhere... I usually do a 5 minute break at the office. I take it with me when I'm traveling (fits nicely in my backpack), and do a seated workout on long flights, or more common, I workout in the comfort of my hotel room. 4) The companion application has tracked my strength progression since I first started using it, and I have increased my strength by 100% on most exercises. It's taken me over 6 months to get there, but it's real, and I feel the difference! 5) There are some game-like exercise themes, buried in the profile, that change the exercise curve (your goal is to adjust how hard you press the device during a 15-30 second exercise to follow the curve). I personally like the shark chasing fish theme and the spaceship themes best. 6) Recently, they added a connection between Apple's watch and Activ5. Now my workouts with Activ5 also add to my Watch exercise ring, and I can also track my calories and heart rate while doing the workouts. Who doesn't have 5-10 minutes everyday or two to get back in shape? I highly recommend it!

I'm impressed... never thought that such a small device could make me do a full-body workout, and with no sweat :) it was easy to set it up and the gamification of the app is actually motivating me to keep on going day after day. I strongly recommend it

The Activ5 is awesome. Within the first two minutes of using it you understand how it works and what it can actually push you to do. There are so many different exercises in the app and they are very intelligently designed. Highly recommend giving this a try.

It’s interesting style of working your muscles. I keep it in my purse to use on the go. It’s easy enough to take when you travel. My kids also enjoy it too. Will it replace a gym? No. But it’s a start. You use your body against itself for resistance with this gadget in between. It’s fun to use. I like that the app is free to use. Some other workout smart devices charge subscriptions and this one doesn’t.

Gets pretty boring fast. Don’t expect anything from this unless you’re the type to be pretty committed.

I had my eyes on this one since I saw it the first time at an Apple store last summer. So now under lockdown, I made a long trip to a Best Buy to get some other tech goodies not available close to me, and while there I checked that store's stock for Activ5 and they actually had it, so I order and curb picked up on the spot (great service, by the way). I started to use it and was amazed on how hard isometric exercising is. After a few minutes a day, I fell tired. I was a little bit sore the second day. Unfortunately, my unit was defective, and after a week it just didn't want to work anymore, so I had to return it. Fortunately, Best Buy accepts returns at the store nearby, so I didn't have to drive all the way back to the store where I got it.

It was disappointing. May work for some people, but I’d prefer to do yoga or use resistance bands for much less money. The entertainment value is not enough tho make up for what it it lacking.

Go find a tennis-ball sized rock in your garden and squeeze it in between your palms for "exercise" and that's what you'll get for dropping $129 on this device. I bought into the glitzy marketing description and gave the Activ5 a shot for 6+ weeks but despite the rah-rah cheery app saw no measurable or visible results (really wish I could have those 15 minutes everyday of my life back)! I expect to see this widget at a huge discount in the cobweb dustbins of closeout websites in the near future, lol.
