I'm an owner of GH2, GH3 and Rock Band, all on Xbox 360. So I when I heard GH was coming to the Nintendo DS I pre-ordered that very same day! I got it today and was very excited to start playing but was almost immediately disappointed by some of the controls. First as others have mentioned the buttons are small. I've already experienced several times where one finger hits two keys and I miss the note. On top of that it seems that the buttons need to be positioned further 'up' on the DS. I hold the DS in my left hand. The natural position of the DS in my palm causes my pointer (green button) finger to rest too high, beyond the frets. This is because the DS has to be perpendicular to your hand, it would work better if it were slightly angled. Lastly a problem I've experienced a few times adjusting my grip is that occasionally the Guitar Grip comes lose from the GB Advance slot. causing the game to give an error message and freeze. If you LOVE GH you'll like GH On Tour. But buyer beware. They've got some bugs to work out

If you like guitar hero you will love this. the song tracks are great. It's really easy to use. it does get uncomfortble for your wrist and fingers if you are playing too long and the cartridge seems to slip out a lot. other than that i beat the game the first day i got it!!!

I have not played much of the other versions of GH so I cannot compare the DS version to the others. What I do know is that it is fun, provides opportunities to practice and it is portable. Since I am not the age of most of the other players (most likely) I find I cannot play the game for too long without my hand cramping up. The angle is awkward or something like that. Overall, great game!!!

I got guitar hero today and i havent put it down! if u like guitar hero for wii, x box, playstation, etc. you'll love guitar hero for ds. after like 15 minutes my wrist starts to hurt, and sometimes the grip falls out and you have to restart the game. its pretty pricey but its worth it. overall, a really good game.

This game was the best purchase i have ever made. I would give it 1,000,000 stars but i cant. I love guitar hero on tour because I know almost all of the songs, and I am good at it. When I bought it the day after it came out I was already on expert. Remember ROCK ON!!!

This game is great.Although there were some slight changes from the regular Guitar Hero you were used to.They have instead decided to make a Guitar Hero that you can take anywhere at anytime. So they have made a Guitar grip including an additional pick stylus.Although they tried to make the guitar similar to a handheld portable device...they could not put all 5 frets on the grip which is a little disappointing. But, great overall. You're wrist may start to hurt during the middle of a song...to get rid of that..all you basically have to do is take a quick 5 minute break if it starts aching..... otherwise you can experience some pain in the wrist. But,overall i'd give this game a two thumbs-up and a rate of 5 over 5!!!

    Guitar On The Go

This is a great game to have if you are a fan of the big console versions of Guitar Hero. It's great to know that you can take the game with you anywhere you go. I love the fact that if I'm in a doctors office or on a plane trip I can just take the game out and play. It's a great way to pass the time away. In response to the person that said that one of the cons is that the graphics are not that great well of course they aren't because it is on the DS. The DS does not have the best graphics. But the concept and game play is awesome and I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the game!

Guitar Hero: On Tour, is my favorite game for Nintendo DS. I loved being able to recognize songs, and listen to the songs I didn't know! How great is it to be able to take the Guitar anywhere? It would be great if Guitar Hero came out with other chips for the DS with new songs, but I can't believe I have this one! I'm totally thankful for Guitar Hero and Nintendo's On Tour Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 100% satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your thinking about buying this game, THEN BUY IT!!! its a very good game for on the road you will never get bored with it, cause theres always new things to do and new things to unlock. i spent my money on this and i havent regreted it at all. the one bad thing about this game is that your hand or wrist may start to hurt, so just pause it, itll have a space for you to get comfy, and then come back to it in 5 or 10 minutes, THEN ROCK OUT SOME MORE!!!

I am a fan of guitar hero, so when I started playing the DS version I loved it same concept and its mobile so you can play any where, I really love it. The songs are great as well they have some good old ones and classic ones as well. I makes you not want to put your game down unless the battery dies!Pick up your on game and check it out!

This had potential. The biggest downfall is that you will be playing it and it doesn't register. Come to find out the "adapter" acts up. If it is a TAD loose it does not register so your progress is messed up or you have to restart. You will not notice that it is loose until it acts up. I mean it is THAT sensitive. They need to rework the adapter and sell for a lower price because as it is..not worth the price. Come down on price for BIG flaws....or FIX the adapter problem! This love....not a guitar song. Odd song choice...and I LIKE Maroon 5. Just not a guitar song people. Get this with a discount coupon or sale ONLY. It will frustrate you.

this is a guitar hero game for the ds. so i like the idea that its portable, but its not anywhere close to the same as the ps2 version, or the wii version, but this is still a good game for if your on the go.....

IT IS VERY ENTERTAINING, BUT IF YOU HAVE VERY LARGE FINGERS IT IS HARD TO PLAY THE BUTTONS ARE VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS VERY FUN TO PLAY. I DO SUGGEST THOUGHT THAT IF YOU GET IT YOU USE YOUR FINGER TO STRUM THE STRINGS INSTEAD OF THE PICK THAT IT COMES WITH

I think this game is super great, i always wanted to play guitar hero for ps2 but was not willing to pay the money for the controller and game, i just got the game and have been glued to it ever since {well except for right now}. The easy level is super easy but the hard and expert levels or a lot more challenging, especially since both of these modes use akward combos that are hard to manage at times. there is a practice mode, so you can brush up your skills. i also like the duel feature, it's a nice alternative to playing multiplayer. The only problem with this game is that it is extreamly addictive, which leads you to want to play more, thus causing your hands to cramp, or numb ... Also the audio is pretty poor, but that can quickly be fixed by using head phones for the price, this games is awesome, i might actually get GH for PS2....Looks like this game has created another GH Addict

I bought this game a few weeks ago. I initially thought it was going to be extremely easy due to the fact that it has only 4 fret buttons. However, with the new way of playing it turned out to be a bit more of a challenge than I thought it would be. While the game is fun, it starts to bother my wrist from having to hold the DS the way I do. The fact that I have an original DS which would weigh more than a Lite may play into that, but I cannot say for sure. Overall I would recommend this game to anyone who has been a Guitar Hero fan.

im sorry to say this but i think this game is very hard to play becouse of the small size of the controller buttons. i haVE BEEN playing guitar hero for along time now and this is the first to dissapoint becouse of the controller. for me i have big fingers and the regular guitars are no prob but the tiny buttons on the ds version are to small and my fingers over lap some of them im kinda dissapointed but will continue to try and play.

The game has good graphics and storyline but youhave to have the buttons in the gba part of the ds.And use a pick thats given to strum on the touch screen. You have to find a good position but youll get terrible hand cramps. It has good songs. You will have to stop the game alot because the cramps. Thanks for reading.
