My rating is affected by the fact that I don’t think I should have had to get an expensive universal remote in the first place because all my devices are Sony devices. The Sony remote simply doesn’t work consistently with three of its own devices. To get a stable operating remote, I had to buy an expensive one that only Best Buy can program initially and in the future. That seems totally unnecessary. It took multiple trips to my house to get it programmed correctly in part because of some quirkiness with the particular Sony TV I bought. After three days, the remote seems to be working as expected, but I haven’t actually tried everything with each of the devices. Time will tell. The in-home consultant and the installer were professional and patient, but the products themselves leave a lot to be desired.

They have been to the house 5 times to program my remote. 3 times they couldn’t do it right and the other two times never showed up when they we suppose to. I have been a Best Buy customer for MANY year and purchased thousands of dollars in household and mobile items. Never has their service been bad…..till now!

Trouble Shooting TV issues with NO video, but had audio.
