The geek squad technician did an excellent job mounting my tv above a corner gas fireplace. Not sure why it cost extra since it didn’t appear anymore difficult that on a flat wall. The tech was at my house approx 1.5 hours. In that time he unboxed the tv, mounted the brackets for a corner wall mount and a sound bar, mounted the tv on the conventional wall (not brick), and programmed everything for streaming (and explained it all to me). Don’t get me wrong, he did an excellent job on everything but I think the total charge of approx $350 was excessive.

Todd and his assistant were polite, neat, informative and followed all Covid protocol. He went above and beyond to make sure all was perfect. Highly recommend!!! The main number and reps however need a lot of work! This is the 4th time I’ve had major problems with them from not knowing their job, messing up appointments, recommending wrong equipment, canceling an appointment after waiting 5 hrs. First call was from an unknown person with a delivery, no clue about installation, had to call his supervisor and confused all. Main number zero help. Luckily, Todd called and straightened out all and knew exactly what to do. The woman that assisted him was just as good and helped me with programming. They are the only reason I’d use geek squad again.

Geek Squad (2 polite, friendly guys) came right on schedule, put booties over shoes to protect our floors, & laid tools on blanket. Asked us several questions to assess our needs re: viewing tv. Installed the Rocketfish mounting bracket at the optimal height then showed us how the bracket allowed for tilting in both directions (up/down & side-to-side). Very sturdy extension arm that works exactly as we were hoping it would. The guys completed the installation then went through the set-up, explaining each step to us (syncing w/our internet provider, cable provider, showed how to access streaming, etc). All that in about an hour, plus they didn’t leave one spec of debris on the floor. Although I know this could be installed as a DIY project, we feel it was well worth the price to have Geek Squad do it right!

I’ve never used Geek Squad services, but you can now count me among one of your biggest fans! Steven and John called before they showed up. They did a great job mounting two new speakers outside and my new big screen TV inside. They finished by aligning all the settings so I could get best picture and sound right from the start! Afterward, Steven asked “are you sure you have no more questions or there’s nothing else we can do for you.” That was a sign he really cares about customer service. Steven is a great guy - super professional, personable, good communicator and very good at his technical job. He’s going places! Thanks for the amazing service!

My wife and I did a lot of research on over the fireplace mountings and there are a lot of pros and cons. Costco even refuses to mount a TV over the fireplace. Ultimately we elected to go ahead and have the mounting done professionally by the Geek Squad and we are extremely pleased with the results. The mounting bracket used was Best Buy's best and most expensive, however, it was well worth the cost. We now have full range of motion for easy viewing from anywhere in our open concept kitchen and family room. The mounting is extremely sturdy with all the wiring hidden to the greatest extent possible. The Geek Squad team made sure the TV was connected to our home network and that I was comfortable with the new controls before they left. They were neat and cleaned up after the install. An all around great job!

The Geek Squad did a great job. They were knowledgeable and were able to use the previous mounting equipment. The only issue is the scheduling. That was a nightmare. Three visits to the store and two phone calls. The problem was the time to deliver and install did not fit in the Best Buy check boxes. Too bad for the install crew as they were great. I would recommend as the installers were great but fix your scheduling on the computer. I kept getting messages from a Best Buy robot asking to schedule the install. I had it scheduled but when I called I was told it was not scheduled. This happened over and over and over. I even had it in writing and was still told it was not scheduled. It took 4 weeks to get the TV on the wall.

My Geek Squad service was amazing! I had the pleasure of having Dorian as my Geek Squad Expert. I should say Dorian and crew. They arrived even earlier than I expected, which was perfect - they wore shoe covers - they were courteous - efficient - patient with me and ALL of my questions. When they encountered a problem, they provided me with guidance on what my next steps should be. I received great service and was also empowered with knowledge because they explained everything to me so very well. Dorian & Team: Geek Squad ROCKS!

The Geek Squad performed Sony BRAVIA XBR A1E 65 inch TV mount over firewall to 100% of my satisfaction. They installed all the attachments to what I was told by Sales person. They were well prepared and brought all the required tools and were very polite. They even spread the sheet to catch all installation debris. They wore shoe cover when they entered our home. After installation they setup the TV and spent time to explain me all the functions. My TV was ready to perform immediately and I had all the necessary knowledge from Geek Squad, I need to operate my TV. I would definitely recommend them for all such TV mounts.

Got the tv about 3 weeks ago. Really great 4k. Fits over my mantle well. I like the fact the hardware c an move the screen down and to a side allowing me to get to the back of the tv. Netflix and Amazon prime has super 4k shows. Mainly watch at night so bright daylight is not a problem. Didn't get any calibration yet, but picture is terrific. Had a really nice Panasonic 50 inch plasma so I was looking at Oleds. For $1200 less I bought the Sony. Glad I did. Upgrade from 1030p is terrific. Looks like 4k. You should see football! All in all I made a wise decision.

We had Geek Squad mount our 77" oled on our living room wall earlier this year. Recently, we and that TV moved. Time for Geek Squad to remount the TV, this time above a fireplace. We still had our Top Tech Support subscription, so that saved on the install. The team of two employees arrived on time, were very tidy and left the room clean, and were polite and professional. I would highly recommend using Geek Squad for TV mounting as well as for appliance installation.

I had always a TV mounted on above my Fire place. I did some research and discovered the Best Buy offered this service. It was a one stop easy experience for my husband and I. The Sales person helped us pick out the TV, sound and set up the installation on date and time convenient for us. They day they came, we needed a longer cable than we purchased and he called another installer in the area who brought it to us at a reasonable price. I couldn't be any happier. My dream of a classy big TV mounted to the wall is the focal point of our room and every one can see it from directions.

I purchased this service as part of a complete makeover of my home audio and vedio system. I could have dealt with this install myself but decided to get the tech to do it so it would be warranted. I had the Geek Squad come out to my house and evaluate the room(s) that I wanted serviced by the new equipment, etc. That service was really great and free too. The tech listened to my desires and recommended this equipment to meet my requirements. When they put it all together, I was very happy. It all comes down to peace of mind. I'm a very happy camper.

It turns out last time our TV was mounted above our fireplace into the stone it wasn't anchored into studs, and cracked several stones. Joshua was very diligent and spent significant time ensuring it was mounted correctly, which made the team late for their next appointment. I'm disappointed the TV wasn't mounted correctly the first time (through Best Buy), but very appreciative that this Geek Team made it right. thank you guys for being professionals.

The Geek Squad who worked with me to install my new TV above my fireplace was EXCELLENT! I can't say enough about Heather and Blake who handled this installation -- professional, highly skilled and personable. I was so impressed with their work and precision. I am very pleased with the Geek Squad and my service contract with them. They exceeded my expectations! Many thanks to their Supervisor, Michael who handled my purchased and home assessment perfectly! He is awesome too!

Definitely pleased with the work geek squad does. There was a mix up on the right tv that was sent to our house when we ordered 2 70” TVs but one wound up being a 65”. The problem was not there fault but was the warehouses. A different time for the mounting was set and everything went as planned for the most part. Pleased with the customer service of the geek squad. Still waiting on a refund for a different product but all is good so far.

First, I received a courtesy call that the team was on its way, which was appreciated. Secondly, the team was not only prompt, but a little early. Also appreciated. The men put booties on to protect our floors without being asked. Most importantly, they were both courteous and focused while completing the ordered work/install. They explained what they were doing and set up our services afterward. They were polite and thorough and made sure we were comfortable with what they did. We are very happy.

I worked with Ricky from Geek Squad to mount my TV above the fireplace. He was great to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anybody. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely flexible of my schedule. Unfortunately, I had originally purchased the wrong TV Mount, but Ricky was able to advise me quickly on which mount to get and rescheduled a time to come back that was convenient for me. My TV looks great above my fireplace. I would love to work with him again if I needed any of these types of services in the future. Thanks so much!

I rescheduled three times and they were very understanding that I was waiting on the electrician to finish their work. Their installation was quick. They offered to provide a tutorial on how to use my tv, and got my approval on layout over the mantels before installing. They even offered up suggestions on how I could troubleshoot internet related issues. I would recommend their help again.

The agents, Jay and Q, were knowledgeable and explained what they were doing. Very respectful about my home, wearing booties on shoes and taking great care with my belongings. They were efficient and very technically competent and cleaned up work area and removed all trash. Once everything was installed they showed me how to use new equipment and answered all my questions. Would recommend this team to anyone getting home theatre equipment installed.

Installer arrived on time, installation was professional, quick & done perfectly to my request. He took the time to explain everything about the installation, operation of the tv & remote. Cleaned up the installation area nicely and was very courteous. Everything worked well and without incident or drama. I would highly recommend geek squad services both in store & at home. They have exceeded my expectations.
