Conversion to LP went smoothly. Installation team proficient and professional

After several attempts at getting our Thermodor range installed it finally happened. Jordan was great and was able to get it done. On the other hand Best Buy and their scheduling and lack of information to their installers is less than desirable. Multiple calls, texts and email from them and they still could not get it right. They sent out 2 installers who wanted to do the install but were not prepared with the right tools so we had to wait 5 more days without a working range.

The installers were very professional and pleasant to deal with. They were able to make the gas (propane) connection but said they could not connect the electrical (from hard wired to plug in 220v). We paid a contractor $100.O0 to change a circuit breaker to 30 amp from 40 amp and complete the installation.

Great product and needed to convert our new cooktop.

The install of the kit was completed but the screws were miss alined and forced into odd places. They refused to install the line to the house saying the valve was bad and they did not have one. I had assumed that they as the professionals would have all the parts they needed. Had to install the valve and the hose (from oven to house) myself when I got home from work. I could have bypassed the cost if I would have known that and just done it myself but it was a surprise for my wife.

Our new kitchen stove had to be converted from electric to propane. Best Buy sent a wonderful team and one of the guys did the conversion. He did a very efficient job and explained everything to me as he went. He was very polite and helpful. We had previously purchased a Kenmore from Sears and later found out they had no one to install the conversion to propane. We are senior citizen and did not feel comfortable with attempting it ourselves, so we cancelled the Sears product and purchased at Best Buy and we were very please that they could help us, even though there was an additional cost involved with the conversion. We feel the extra money was well spent and feel confident that our new gas range is safe and installed correctly.

It's kind of hard to review this kind of item because it's not like I shopped around and considered my options. I bought a gas dryer, and our rental house is LP so we needed a conversion kit and this is the one they used when they installed the dryer.

Worked as it should. Was labor intensive to change the 16 jets.

This was a required purchase for my gas stove, as I already had a propane line ran to the kitchen and wanted to cook with gas (propane.) Once put in by the BB installers, everything works great!

Nothing was done, and Best Buy refunded the cost. This is an advanced task, but the instructions and process is straightforward. An engineer/advanced DIYer can do this with the right tools (e.g. a 7mm socket and a 2mm screwdriver). Others should get an installer to do this.

I am very dissatisfied with this order. Let me briefly summarize why: 1) On Oct 22, 2019, I purchased a Thermador appliance from Best Buy in Aventura, FL This order included an installation by GeekSquad and a natural gas to LPG conversion kit. The delivery and installation was performed on Nov.14, 2019. I also purchased a 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection warranty. 2) A few weeks ago, I noticed the smell of gas from my oven and also heard audible mini-explosions when the oven was turned on. We first contacted our propane gas company and they sent a technician to confirm that there was no problem with the gas line. The tech told us there was something very wrong with our range/oven. Next, we called Thermador and they sent a team out for assessment. The Thermador technician informed us that while the range conversion was working normally, the conversion for the oven was never performed. Not only am I disappointed that I did not receive a service for which I paid for, I am more concerned about the safety hazard posed to me and my family by this careless oversight. 3) Next, we called Best Buy and spent 3 hours and 45 minutes on the phone with your customer service arguing with them about whether or not they would take responsibility for this mistake. Finally, after needing to escalate the matter to a supervisor, we were finally able to get approval for a Best Buy team to come and perform the oven conversion. 4) Yesterday, the team came (see below) and complained that there were no instructions. When they "completed" the conversion, we asked if it was done and they replied "I think so". This morning, I tried to use the oven. I set the dial to preheat to 450 F. Thirty minutes later, the oven had not even heated above 300 F and I can still smell the odor of gas. I sincerely hope that you take my complaint seriously and make efforts to correct the repeated mistakes.

Guys came promptly & took care of everything. Polite, quick & did the job needed.

I have been remodeling a lake home we just purchased and it has been extremely frustrating finding good contractors to do anything in an unknown area. I was a little skeptical at first buying higher end appliances from Best Buy but I have to say that the installation team did a great job with my entire kitchen including this conversion.

Where to begin? We bought a gas range from Best Buy, but needed to have it converted to propane at install. The kit was used to convert the range, except one of the burners didn’t work. About two weeks later, geek squad assessed the range to discover the conversion had been done incorrectly by the installer. None of the burners or oven were receiving the correct amount of gas. Geek squad orders a new kit to be delivered, and arranged for a team to install the new kit. Delivery date for kit arrives, no kit. Installers arrive the next day, only to show us an order for installation of a new range, no mention of a propane conversion or a kit. Now they tell us that a third party installer will be here next week, with a kit, but they will not tell us who is coming. So far two of their third party installers have been epic failures. Still do not have a stove that functions properly.

The propane conversion went very well the only thing is it seem as if the dryer doesn’t get as hot as it should.

The conversion from natural gas to propane was done quickly and efficiently.

i had a lot og promlems getting it installed missed appointments damaged goods but the store was on it and compensated me for all the trouble
