Customer service is the absolute worst. Extremely frustrating. I devoted hours and hours of my time talking to people at Best Buy to set up my appointment properly, and ensure that they knew that i needed both my new tv and my soundbar mounted to the wall with no cords showing (something that should be totally routine for Best Buy). I repeatedly got conflicting information about what equipment was needed (what i should provide vs what they would provide), and what it would cost (i.e. whether or not hiding the cords was included), and I got passed around from phone number to phone number as people struggled to figure out how to ensure that i would get both a TV installation on the wall and a soundbar installation on the wall - you'd think this was something they would be used to scheduling since it seems to be the whole point of the Geek Squad. Hours later, I spoke to someone who was seemingly competent, and she assured me that both services would happen - mounting on the wall both the TV and soundbar, no cords showing - and explained what equipment i would need, and confirmed the appointment. Then, the day of the appointment, i get a confirmation email that states i will be getting only "soundbar connect" and there's no mention of mounting. Why on earth would i need "sound bar connect" with no mounting? I can just push buttons on my remote for that - i have easily connected my soundbar myself multiple times. So i called the technician, and he had apparently not been informed about the soundbar mounting, even though I wasted virtually a whole day of work to ensure that this would happen. After all of that, he had not been informed that this was part of the service. So, then i double-checked the charges on my account, since I couldn't be sure of anything being done properly, and they now on top of everything else they have added a hefty charge for TV delivery when it was always supposed to be free. The whole experience with the people on the phone, and the information provided has been unbelievably incompetent. And for this to happen during a pandemic, when everyone is trying to minimize time indoors together, not wasting time during service appointments that have totally not been arranged according to instructions. Unbelievable - if they cannot handle their very area of supposed expertise what is the point? And i actually paid for the 1-year premium service membership. So disappointed.

Terrible experience and ita not the first time. I paid to get a soundbar installed. They canced my first appointment fine no problem, second appointment installer never showed up nor called to say they werent coming then after calling several times i got a hold of someone, they said i couldnt be installed until the following week. This is unacceptable i will not hire these people ever again. Get your own handyman to install your items.

Sound bar mount directions were somewhat confusing. Had to purchase hardware to get in installed. Sound bar is ok.

First off, this is not a complaint against the Geek Squad themselves, rather than the subcontractors they signed.
Best Buy told me that they could only get subcontractors out because of my "location" this is completely bogus because i had another TV mounted a day later and the real Geek Squad came out and did a wonderful job
The subcontractors that came out were polite and did a good job, however they could not mount the soundbar because they lacked the proper equipment (which makes no sense since the order asked if i had the proper mount, which I clicked no).
So at the end of the service, they had me speak with the best buy customer service, i specifically told them at the time, and the subcontractor even said at the time that we didn't install the soundbar, and that i would be getting that portion of the money back.
As you can see where this review is going, I obviously didn't get that money back. I called Best Buy twice, both of the times they responded with generic "we will look into it and call the subcontractor" and never called me back. So I'm still stuck with a 50 dollar bill and a soundbar that is not mounted

Hi there! If I paid for something, I'd expect it to be done or a refund to be processed as quickly as possible. It sounds like we are already looking into this for you, but if you do not hear back within the coming business days, please do stop by your local store.

The soundbar mount isn’t straight it’s crooked and the TV is pushed in from the back now after the install. For the price of the install you can find someone off the internet to do it cheaper and maybe better.

THIS WAS THE TOUGHEST PART OF MY HOME THEATER INSTALLATION. BECAUSE OF THE CONNECTION OPTIONS FOR THE TV, DVD, CABLE BOX, AND SOUND BAR, THEY HAD TO FIND A WAY TO CONNECT EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH EACH COMPONENT ONLY SUPPORTED ONE CONNECTION TYPE , AND THEY WERE NOT THE SAME OPTION!!. THESE THINGS ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING IN ELECTRONICS, AND WHEN YOU HAVE COMPONENTS OF DIFFERENT AGE, THIS BECOMES A PROBLEM. THE GUYS HANDLED THE CHALLENGE ADMIRABLY AND CAME UP WITH THE IDEAL SOLUTION. I WOULD STILL BE STARING AT THE WHOLE SET UP WONDERING WHAT TO DO.
