First of all when you buy this you should buy extra batteries to go along with it because the batteries are probably going to be dead. This (the bluetooth version) only works with apps on your ipod or smart phone (i use it with and ipod touch 5th gen) It takes a lot of playing around with it to figure out exactly how it should be used. There are two apps that work with it, the mi-coach app (use it while working out) and the mi-coach multi-sport app (sync data after your workout so you don't have to carry your phone while working out) The mi-coach app is more for training, it will talk to you as you go if you have it set-up to and it will display info during your run and I believe it gathers a lot from GPS. You can also play music through it. Multi-sport is more for post-game analysis and is what I use. Once you sync the data to your app you can view it online on your profile. confusingly you can't you the micoach manager application that it tells you to download to your computer, you just have the micoach website. I'm still trying to figure out who to best gather cycling data. without a smartphone w/gps all it can track is revolutions per min, your "pace" you can draw a route and add it online later but that just averages your stride route over the entire ride, it doesn't show if your pace slowed or quickened or how well you attached hills/downhills. I don't know what else is out there under $100 that will track the same stats. But it's great it can go in shoe or on laces rather than chest strap or watch.

The Speed Cell would not sync from day 1. I tried all the tips and tricks I found online to get it to sync but nothing. My phone is listed as compatible but no luck. It's a shame because I wanted the speed and cadence data. Returned and bought a MooV. So far so good with this one.

I bought this product before reading reviews. I will be returning the product as soon as I can make it back to Best Buy. The product came with a dead battery, and some reviews said the original battery might be dead and you need to go buy a new battery, which I shouldn't have to do when it came with a battery (dead). Also, after reading reviews, battery life is short and you don't know it is dead until it is dead, which may be in the middle of a workout. Also after reading reviews, battery life isn't that long. Bad design. Rechargeable is better!!

This is a great tracking device for those that are treadmill runners. I know that adidas markets this for other purposes but they really should just refocus and market this as a tracker for treadmill runs. It will pair via bluetooth very easily to apps like WahooFitness that will then track your run data. The data can then be exported to other major platforms including Nike, Runkeeper, etc...
