Adobe Premiere Elements is geared towards enthusiasts, those who want to do the job quickly and effectively without having the need to attend time consuming video/ photo editing workshops. As a software that requires no monthly subscription, this is a cost-effective tool for photo and video editing. There are three ways to edit photo/ video: using quick mode, guided process or expert mode. The fastest one to do the job is by using the quick mode, which is basically a point and click exercise. A guided mode will give you specific instructions to accomplish your editing goal, while in the expert mode you are expected to have familiarized yourself with the tools and the specific steps it requires to get the job done. There are tutorial videos provided by Adobe on its website but most of the time editing feels intuitive and simple enough. Adobe provides many useful editing tools and effects so your video won’t look boring. You can edit contents for a variety of media and formats from popular social media platforms to conventional formats. Videos can be reformatted from landscape to the popular and trending portrait orientation. The photo editing software also has a variety of useful tool to enhance and easily manipulate your photos. Of course, there are some missing features from Adobe’s pro subscription software. Also, I’m pretty surprised that the software’s graphics user interface on both the photo and video editing software looks quite unattractive and feels pretty old. I’m using a powerful desktop gaming PC to edit videos and most of the editing work went ok except that some transition FX did not play well during playback in the editing panel, it was laggy and stuttered. This is nothing major because what matter is the final video. Overall, this is quite a powerful tool for beginners and enthusiasts.

I first used Adobe Photoshop over 25 years ago and have used various Adobe photo editing programs ever since. I eventually moved on to the Adobe Creative Cloud for the full suite of Adobe’s professional software. It was a steep learning curve and way overpowered for most things I was doing. I think most people will find the same and find that Adobe’s high end professional products are way too much for everyday use due to the steep learning curve. That is where Photoshop Elements 2022 & Premiere Elements 2022 comes in. First, don’t worry about this being a stripped-down version of Photoshop and Premiere that is going to leave you wanting for something more powerful. Second, this software is not too complicated for most moderate users to figure most of the basics (although not necessarily intuitive.) Since this is literally two programs, I will review each one separately. Photoshop Elements – Adobe took a smart approach to a very complicated subject. They break the program into levels of skillset – quick, guided and expert. For most users, the quick option will cover most basic photo needs. Quick touch ups, color adjustments, lighting, balance, exposure etc are all there. Then there is an option called smart fix – it is literally a one button fix of your photos. Sure, you can fine tune it with the other features but in most cases the “Auto” smart fix will maximize your photos appearance. If you need to go to the next level, guided gives a more robust set of adjustments as well as unique editing functions and special effects. It really is impressive - you can merge different elements of photos or different photos altogether, add frames, change depth of fields. The last option of expert is Photoshop “lite.” This is more for power users – layers, cloning tools, filters , paint tools and other unique tools . One such unique tool is the eye open tool. If you take a picture where someone closed their eyes you can import their eyes from another photo and apply it to the new photo. Truly incredible. Photoshop Premiere Elements – Premiere Elements is video editing designed for quick and easy ways to trim video files, clean them up ( i.e. noise) to make them look great, personalize them with various visual effects. Essentially it can polish up videos to what you want almost automatically. At first, I did not find this as feature rich as the Photoshop Elements, but it does use the same format of skillset levels of quick, guided and expert. However, once I explored the expert level further, found a robust set of tools that can handle nearly all video functions. Adobe promotes this program as a fund way to share videos, but I can see a whole other level of power. It has powerful basics 6 channel audio mixer that you can apply to background or foreground, motion tracking, add text (which can be tied to the field you are tracking,) media imports as well as higher level functions such as adding menus to videos (think DVD’s, ) gamma correction, temperature adjustment and a lot more. I have no where near the same experience in video editing as I do in photo editing but know enough to be dangerous and I can say that this will do the job even for experiences Youtuber’s. Both apps share a common Organizer for easy access to all your photos and videos. This feature is efficient, clean and does a great job. I’ve read a few reviews that state “great for the amateur” and, while I can understand that impression, these programs are far more powerful than just for an amateur. Even a power user will be able to get a lot done with this robust program and I am very impressed what you get for the money. There is nothing that comes close to the feature set that comes with these programs for the money. There is still a learning curve for the advanced features that may dissuade some users but the basic to mid-level features are a snap with Adobe’s automations. The program did hang up ( almost seemed like it crashed ) and may be what others are referring to as crashing. My system is more than powerful enough to handle the programs and I think it is related to some type of interface between the two programs when you have both open. That is a complete guess, but it did happen more than once. There are no great benefits to upgrading if you have 2019 or after but this is still a 5-star product that I can easily recommend .

Constant issues with this Premiere program so far as it's been installed on a new Dell laptop running windows 11. Editing process stalls and hangs. Rendering also hangs and does not complete. Not does exporting a complete video. I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least 5 times already. Nothing but issues so far.

This software can do magic with your pictures. Without going for the professional photoshop option and its monthly subscription, this option of elements 2022 can deliver more than you could require. I am not a pro but just a family dad with a passion for photos and while trying to control exposure, speed, and light in an amateur camera, sometimes working in the edition of the photos makes a great difference. Having this software makes it possible at a very accessible price. As most of the current software is purchased today, this software is directly downloaded into your laptop in no time. After launching the setup and the software is installed, you can create your adobe account. Once done, just you can activate your license. I have both Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 and Premiere Elements 2022, bundling both Softwares comes with a nice price tag, and the option of having also an over the average video editing tool is very attractive and strongly recommended. One surprise after launching the app is the addition of the Organizer that can serve you as the place to start your work. The app recognizes the pictures in your drives and imports them into the app. The artificial intelligence part of the software starts to recognize the regular faces in the pictures (like the family members). This functionality is great when you start to play around with the software and you try to organize your libraries by who is in the picture. One important recommendation after you launched this app. You are the owner of a masterpiece that requires a minimum number of hours invested on it before you can really enjoy the results. The number of potential hours that I spent in the last week before I am able to have a minimum result exceed 25 and I LOVE IT!. Let be clear, nothing good is easy to use and a part of the purchase is the knowledge and the skill it comes with. Two positive elements in this process: .- The number of available guides to explore and to acquire knowledge is huge. In my first 25 hours, I barely scratched the surface of knowledge. .- The results are good at first but impressive after your learning curve goes up. I also tried the functionality of premiere just to add a few family videos together with some soundtrack. I have the impression that in a quite basic action the outcome exceeds the quality of the video with other (free) software that I own. Here also plenty of hours of fun ahead of me to learn and to experience. There is nothing that I dislike of this app. I strongly recommend it, notably if as I do you think that is so fun to do as to learn new tricks to do.

I got the bundled Photoshop Elements & Premier 2022. They work so well together and couldn't imagine not having both to use. They flow seamlessly together. One the things I use alot is removing backgrounds on photos. We had a nice photo that we loved. A friend was blowing out the candle on birthday cake and right behind her was a picture frame with the ex. We couldn't just crop it out because it would ruin the photo. Was able to remove that frame and it looked perfect. I love the many tool options, especially overlays and image warp, where you can stretch and move an image in many directions. Such as rounding and curving a square picture to put in a mug! Amazing the many creations we can make. Premier allows so much to be done with your videos. We created a welcome video collage for a group I lead. It's nice having 3 different modes to choose from, depending on your needs and experience. There are quick, guided or expert modes. I like the guide mode myself because it helped me walk through what I wanted to do or what I wanted it to look like. Only thing I'm not thrilled with is certain things you do, you receive pop up msgs for paid upgrades. But I this software and am learning more about the wonderful things we can create. And then we can make photo books, calendars, Youtube, etc. I'm really enjoying these and would recommend.

I've used previous releases of Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements and I liked it and still occasionally use the older version that I have installed. I never downloaded this 2022 version due to timing (AT THE TIME) as I was on a month-long cruise and didn't receive the download link before leaving home. I'm writing this review - on a proven ADOBE product - just to get it off my products list, even though I never used this particular version. Photoshop Elements provides a lot of tools for improving the look and publishing quality of your treasured photos. Very simple to use with outstanding results! With the various built-in tools, you can try all sorts of looks for improving your photo to make them more professional looking and have fun doing it! ADOBE makes relevant, high-quality products that assist the user ( .... consumer and business-person alike .... ) on a daily basis. I use ADOBE ACROBAT PRO on a daily basis on all of my devices ... desktop, laptop, and smart phone!

I've been an avid photographer and videographer for a couple of years now mainly capturing life's moments of my family including pets and every year I upgrade to the new adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements. Adobe Sensei Ai technology has really improved and the software is almost always recommending the best corrections in Photoshop. Photoshop Elements has become so simple to use and I can breeze through 20+ photos and having them ready for our family albums and gift books with relative quickness. Premiere Elements is similar to Photoshop in that it's simple to pick up but added time is needed for editing videos. There are new fun animations that you can add to your videos and simple tricks you can use to highlight objects or refine the details in your videos lighting and shadows. Overall, it's always fun to play around with Photoshop and Premiere and even better to show the final product to my family members and friends. Happy editing everyone!

I've had a great a time using both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. They offer the standard basic image adjustments, but the real draw seems to be with the creative effects and I think they're a lot of fun and applied well. I had to look up some videos on accessing some of them, but once I learned how to do that accessing the rest of the features in the software felt pretty intuitive. While I enjoyed using both programs, I didn't appreciate Creative Cloud getting installed for me and it really feels more like an ad for the rest of Adobe's (much more expensive) products. Other than that I think these are both great for anybody looking to get into basic photo and video editing.

This is my first-time using of ADOBES photo/video editing product, I am really surprised and thrilled and I was thinking why I did not buy this product before. This application is designed so perfectly for beginner level to experts, easy to understand and use. Example - Quick menu option comes handy and solves main easiest things, Guided and expert also comes handy. I liked this placement on the application. Video editing is very easy, You can simply take video and upload multiple clips and combine those and do trimming whoever you want, and adding effects, sounds tracks and title everything can be done so quickly and you can see a very good presentable video which you can share it in social media. No Subscription fee which is very good, there are many things to write but overall I really liked this product and I definitely recommend for others.

If you’re not the kind of person to sign up for a subscription service but want powerful editing tools at an affordable price, that’s where the Elements product line comes into play. Adobe has been providing Photoshop and Premiere Elements software for a few years now and it aims to make photo and video editing simple and fast. Installation/Setup Installation is easy. Adobe does require an account to use these products, which many companies are these days. Once you download and launch your met with, what I call, a launcher where you will select Photoshop or Premiere. Getting started in either of these apps will involve you importing media of some sort. This comes with Adobe Elements Organizer which will help keep all your photos and videos collected and organized. It also gives options to sort by data, location, etc. It’s easy to misplace your media so I recommend some sort of organization system. Quick / Guided / Expert Modes – These are the three modes you can use for editing. The quick mode is your express lane to making videos or touching up photos. It has a variety of quick tools for setting up transitions, touching up photos, adjusting color or sound. This mode is intuitive enough to drag and drop in videos, make transitions, add titles, or make quick color adjustments on the photoshop side. Guided is where Adobe goes above and beyond to really help you learn how to make the right edits and make the perfect picture or video. When you click guided for video trimming for example, it will walk you through the different ways you can trim a video clip. A dialog box with steps you can click through comes up and walks you through step by step on how to perform the task. This removes the intimidation factor of getting into video or photo editing. Finally there’s the expert mode that allows for fine tuning of video and photo editing. This adds the ability to add multiple tracks, videos, titles, music, and effects to videos as well as manual tuning of color, balance, and other touch up options as well as photo layers, lasso tool, and effects. Since I’m familiar with video editing, I tend to use the expert mode for premiere but actually prefer the quick mode for photoshop for quicker edits, but plan on using the guided mode so I can switch to expert and get proficient with video editing. The thing that Elements excels at is quickly making photo or video edits. Although I’m comfortable with expert mode, I found myself taking the quick mode and stringing together shorter video clips of a day at the zoo or our recent vacation and noticing how quickly I could make quick cuts, transitions, and touchups. You just drag and drop from your media new clips. Same action for transitions and there’s several “auto” functions such as shake reduction which helps with shaky videos. There’s not really anything not to like. You get a great Video/Photo editor that is easy to learn, includes a guided editor that makes learning easy, and once you get all the tricks down, you can move on to expert and really dial in great looking photos and videos.

I've owned the previous year's software and used Photoshop Elements to edit old pictures. I've also used Premiere Elements to edit videos for my Marketing class. I did a commercial using youtube videos and recorded audio. It was very easy/simple to use that I decided to get this year's Adobe Photoshop and Elements again. I had an emergency where I had to make a memorial video for a video. I used photoshop to edit pictures and customize them. I later used Premiere to add pictures and audio from youtube to make a video for a funeral. I made a 61 picture video with audio in under 30 minutes. The software was really easy to use and had a ton of quick edits that made my experience easier. I really enjoy the software and plan to use it in the future! I highly recommend it!!

Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements are well worth the cost to bring your photos to life. Photoshops tools are second to none, and editing and different effects are intuitive and easy to accomplish. But for me where this software shines is how easy it is to organize and search photos based on various criteria or search words. The AI technology accurately identifies people so searching is easy. It took quite a while for Elements to analyze the 20,000 pics I have on my PC, but after that was completed searching for specific people, places or any number of other things is simple and fast.
