Elizabeth Shue gives her all as a young woman who, though disappointed that her "dream date" had to cancel, decides to spend the night babysitting the neighbor's 2 kids (and friend). A series of more & more outrageous escapades happen as they wind up travelling from suburb to Chicago to help rescue a friend. It's all delightful and entertaining and sweet. We LOVE this movie!

Chris Columbus' first directorial effort is still one of my favorites from him. Some elements are dated and contrived, and it hasn't aged as well as some of its kin from the era, but it's extremely likable, thanks mostly to Elisabeth Shue, who effortlessly carries it. This DVD is not anamorphic, but zoom it and it looks at least as good as it would have in a theater in the 80s. Very much a product of its time, but if you account for that it's a lot of fun.

This movie is classic. I have always wanted to own this movie so for this price I had to have it. The disc is a bare bones movie only presentation, no features (deleted scenes, bloopers, exc) are included.

Saw it on HBO max the other day, and i fell in love with this one. I had to own it for my collection. The characters are very relatable and funny. I highly recommend this to any movie buff.

Loved this movie years ago. Of course, back then you could watch it without having to endure the swearing. Today, not so much. Still a great movie!

A great movie that anyone who grew up in the 80s will appreciate. Great cast and entertaining all around. Can’t go wrong with the price!

if you enjoy a little unknown movie called Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead then you definitely will love Adventures in Babysitting is one of the most funniest films of the 1980s definitely would recommend this film

I love the movie it is funny and I laughed so much during the first time I watched it. So I had to get the dvd and watch it all over again. It is so funny I almost fell on the floor.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid and I really enjoyed it so when my daughter saw it for the first time and also loved it I had to buy it for her.

I like this movie and blu-ray so much that I bought a second blu-ray for my son as I expose him to my childhood classics. It looks great for an older movie and is just a good family movie from the 80’s.

The perfect babysitting "things CAN"T get any worse" movie. Certainly for guys who had a gorgeous babysitter when they were young! A teenage Elizabeth Shue! That CAN"T be a bad thing!

I bought this because Anthony Rapp's mother was a friend of mine and also we used to live in Chicago. This is old, but a really fun movie for kids plus Thor is still popular.

One of my favorite movies. Great when you just want some mindless entertainment, after a hard day! The reason I bought it- I only had it in VHS!

A very identifiable movie for anyone whose ever done any babysitting ... or been the recipient of any babysitting. Great for kids of all ages.

The Adventures in Babysitting [DVD] [1987]is a great movie. I enjoy watching it over and over. One of Debra Hills best production along with her great Halloween movies

What isn't to be said about this movie. It's a classic and such a thrilling and wonderful movie. Plenty of hours in entertainment watching this Blu-ray movie at any time.

my kids loved this movie and we purchased it for our grankids to watch. they loved it too.

Saw this with my teenage daughter when it first came out. She's now 40 and I'm buying it for her daughter. Good clean fun, the old fashion way.

We love this classic comedy with a great cast. Funny and easy to watch, with a great soundtrack. “Nobody leaves here without singin the blues!”

I love this silly movie. There are 2 baby sitting movies where crazy adventurous things come to a victorious conclusion. This is one of those.
