My mother grew up watching the adventures of Superman. So it was must to buy for her for her bday.

I have seen these on TV from time to time and the stories always seemed a little cheesy. These DVDs allow you to see the entire episode (about 25 min each) and they are much better than when on TV with 15 min of commercials spliced in! Also, they are B&W but these DVDs are very sharp and clean...again, on TV they always looks grainy and fuzzy. I am glad I picked these up at Best Buy on my last visit!

I bought this for my dad for Christmas along with some Superman slippers and he loved it. He said watching it really took him back to his childhood and he loved that they left the classic commercials in it as well. He said the special features were really interesting too. I can't believe I found this in a $10 or less dump bin! What a great find!

This is the Superman I watched when I was little. Not the original runs but when it was syndicated. This show and shows like Shazam are the ones I watched whenever I could. You want to introduce your children to family friendly TV, then this is a way to go about it, but be prepared to explain to them why there is no color since it was filmed in black and white.

Can't beat the season movie packages Super man is the best movie for kids and adults Keeps EVERYONE happy including my dad with Alzheimer's . He can remember way back watching these! Like they turned on a light in his mind while he watches and with a smile on his face

Nothing beats the Original TV Superman staring George Reeves as Clark Kent. 26 great episodes and the original pilot the Mole Men bring back tons of memories from my childhood. Digitally remastered for great entertainment.

Anyone growing up in the 50s to 70s knows this series, but probably remembers the color seasons more than the superior black and white seasons. We get Superman's origin here and also the two part mini pilot movie. It look and sounds great, well worth the price.

This tv show of Superman makes a wonderful gift for that older generation thst is hard to for any occasion. It may not have the technology that we see Superman today but it still captures your attention.

For those of you who are too young to remember this is the original Superman series from the fifties on TV. Everything was based on this character. You get an unbelievable 26 episodes plus the original Superman movie. Killer price get it while you can!

The first adventures are a true winner. My wife and I watched one episode at a time as we ate supper for a few weeks. Then I bought another season and am looking for others. Living in the country, I wore a towel for a cape , but never attempted to jump off the barn.

These episodes were viewed seriously when I was a boy. We overlooked all kinds of things, or were not focusing on how unlikely the events were. The plot was nearly always the same. Lois and/or Jimmy would get in a pickle that only Superman could handle. Clark would appear to take a powder, only to show as Superman to save the day, always just in the nick of time!

Although there are no super-villains, George Reeves plays a dynamic Superman and Clark Kent. Some of the effects are low value, but this was the 1950s after all. The actors are well-suited for their roles, and there are some very well-written episodes.

These 1951 episodes of "The Adventures of Superman" were extremely well produced, unlike the later years when it became more of a children's show. A great by for ten bucks! 26 episodes in glorious black and white! Do yourself a favor and buy it!

No CGI.Just action and adventure along with a cast that worked well in the series. Great collector's gift. If you have fond memories of shows you watched as a kid then you will enjoy the entire series. Ah to be a kid again..

I was glad that I purchased the Superman TV series DVD from Best Buy. It is an excellent product and I have enjoyed watching the episodes. A good value. I would be interested in buying other DVD sets from Best Buy. Thank you.

The plots were cheesy, the cinematography so-so (remastering helps), but when I hear that beginning music blare my heart still lifts. Remembering the technical equipment available then, they turned out a pretty good product for their time! I bought this as a Birthday gift for a relative who also remembers the show fondly and the price was very, very reasonable.

Bought this for my husband because he is a big Superman fan. He sat and watched the Complete First Season in less than two days. It is great to see a show that you don't have to worry about language.. Awesome show.

It sure brings back memories and my grand kids ages 3 and 4 and 8 love it and have already gone through the discs. if they love it then the babysitter is paid for. LOLOL . The video is wonderful and clear.

If you're a fan of the original "Adventures of Superman" you'll enjoy this treatment of this classic series. The extras explain so much off the story of the show, as told by surviving cast members and fans.

I love this show and like it even more because it is ditigalized and is fun to watch and no commercials and no breaks in the action of the show. It is fun good to watch it straight thru
