Bought for my grand son for Christmas. I'm sure he'll enjoy it.

Too much violence, I actually threw it away. It is no wonder the world is getting more violent as a result of the movies and games. The emphasis on alcohol drinking is obsessive. Alcohol is an intoxicating beverage. These movies intoxicate the mind.

I missed getting to see Tintin in the theaters, so I was really looking forward to seeing it. Best Buy was running a sale, so I got an excellent price for the Blu-Ray, DVD, and electronic combo pack. I didn't rent it just to be sure, I just bought it on faith - faith in Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, John Williams, and Andy Serkis, to name four. It does not disappoint. This movie was 30 years in the making, from when Steven Spielberg first heard about Tintin to the time when motion capture animation is maturing as a medium for the story. You forget sometimes you're not watching real people being filmed on a set. It's that good - light years ahead of The Polar Express, which was an excellent movie at the time. I did not hear one of what we used to call a four letter word, This is a great movie to gather the family for as soon as your children are old enough to understand smoking, drinking, and cartoon violence. And, yes, Snowy is the smartest character in the whole picture. Enjoy it!

I bought an LG Cinema 3D TV at Best Buy about 6 months ago. I've watched some great 3D films (all from Best Buy) since then, but none as absolutely excellent as The Adventures of TinTin. This film takes motion capture to the highest level yet, and the 3D effect is just enough to immerse you in the movie. I can watch this over and over again. Sadly my wife cannot deal with 3D, but then again the set also came with a 2D Blu-ray and a DVD disc as well.

Your sofa should have seat belts. Once this one gets going, it keeps up the pace until you have forgotten where you were and what you were doing when you first hit the play button. We've seen the great animation techniques without the great story. We've also seen the great story with disappointing character recreation. This is not that movie! Get it! Watch it on the biggest HDTV you can possible find. Make sure the neighbors are gone for the night and crank up the speakers. You will play this one more than a few times all the way through!

My entire family loved this movie! Even my husband, who doesn't always laugh at stuff the rest of us do, thought it was very good and laughed several times during the movie! I don't really think the bits of drinking, etc. hampered the movie a bit. That stuff just went over my kids heads. The graphics were absolutely amazing! We were amazed by the realistic visuals. Overall, we ALL thought it was an excellent flick and have recommended it to everyone we talk to!

The animation in this movie is amazing! Great characters, and overall it was an excellent adaptation. Highly recommend this film! You will love the adventure, Tintin, Captain Haddock, and Snowy!

The greatest sequence is when Tintin wins against the bad guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a very good 3D movie! It funny and lots of action!! Every body must watch this movie! There will be a 2nd movie.

This was a great movie and Best Buy had it for a great price. The graphics are spectacular. I expect nothing less from Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg.

This movie still has some of the best animation I have ever seen. Everything looks real. Attention to detail is unbelievable.

This movie appealed to me in the way Indiana Jones did in the late 70s and l enjoyed the pace immensely.

The first thing you’ll notice about Tintin is the fantastic realism of the animation. The second thing you’ll notice is not enough is going on beneath the exquisite and authentic aesthetic and it’s all bit ‘crash, bam, wallop’. In the end you’re left feeling slightly bored. The 3d effects are very poor
