Fun game, puzzle platformer to start the level with Tower defense element to end the level.

This game starts off with some promise. The first part of almost every level is your standard platformer. You search for items/resources, solve a low difficulty puzzle, and get to the end of the level. Then you switch to a tower defense style game. Using the resources you gathered (along with whatever you find in the area you defend) you protect your “home base.” Enemies will constantly come at you in waves and you must defeat them before the base is hit x number of times. You can use various weapons, turrets, traps, and other contraptions to slow down the enemy hordes. This is the entirety of the game. Platform portion of level, then tower defense. There’s very few variations to this formula so the game will get repetitive. I thought over time other styles of play would be introduced, but this never happened. The story is not very long, especially if you don’t care to get 3 stars on every level (10-15 hours max). I think $35 is overpriced unless you like collecting the limited physical editions of Limited Run Games.

It’s a nice indie game with good pixel art and illustrations. The game is 1-2 players although I would recommend 2, and features resource gathering, platforming and strategizing wave battles. I kinda wish it were 1-4 players, because there are 4 different characters you can use, but you end up having to pick 2 and switching between them all.

The art cover look amazing. The game play is great.

This game was a rare find. It had puzzles and side scrolling adventure. While playing a tower defence with upgradeable turrents. It is such a fun game for anyone who likes side scrollers or tower defenses.

This is a great game for Nintendo Switch. A Must Buy for sure!

Aegis Defenders is a unique blend of two gameplay styles. The levels start as a puzzle platformer and ends with a tower defense. It really shines in coop.
