"AEW: Fight Forever is the best wrestling game since WWF No Mercy. There’s a visceral nature to every punch and slam which makes every physical match-up an absolute thrill. While the mechanics are deep and allows fans to master techniques, there’s also a pick-up-and-play ethos that is amplified through silly mini-games and over-the-top gimmick matches. The odd hit detection issue, basic creation suite and lack of community uploads are disappointing, however, they don’t take away from what is the greatest wrestling game in the past 20 years."

First AEW console game is here and it's a blast to play. I really love the attention to detail for each wrestlers and how the game plays. Matches are fast paced and it's an easy game to pick up, learn, and play. I enjoyed playing this online many hours with my cousin on the PS5. If you're looking for more realistic or simulation kind of experience, then look elsewhere; this game feels more arcade style. The graphics are definitely better in reality than what you see online.
Apparently there are more content coming with patches and DLC, so I am looking forward to added content also.

The game looks great.. Just missing a few Things to make this game great... Character creation in this game is no announces in matches... Too short of an entrance... And the final too many bugs in this game

It is a nice little arcade style mosh pit, over the top fun for the squad. For $20 or less it is worth it, however for what it offers it is not worth a $70 price tag

This game is not perfect, but its far from terrible and its a great first attempt for yukes. It plays like an arcade like title with a taste of classic wrestling games, unlike the simulation based 2K games from WWE. If you want dumb fun then give it a shot. It has many match types, create a wrestler, create stage, etc. A decent career mode and other features. The character models are a bit toon like, but tgat doesnt take away from the fun!

I wish this game could be more customizable and flexible with character creation. Glitches sometimes, and could be graphically better. Not quite the powerhouse that WWE 2k23 is, but overall a fun game

I love AEW and thought the game would be a throwback to the old arcade style wrestling games, but this game just isn't it. It is fun and has some interesting match and game modes, but not the best. Wait for it to go on sale. If you are an AEW or wrestling fan, it is worth the purchase on sale. Just don't expect a riveting storyline or career mode. Some fun game modes though.

Finally a game thats is an ode to OG days of wrestling games and not a sim where i have to actually grapple. Obviousky could be better but a ton of fun

Overall pretty decent video game for the very first AEW game. Could use improvements but still pretty good. Would like less arcade and more simulation.

Fight Forever is a novel concept. Its inspiration, WWF No Mercy, is still one of the greatest wrestling games of all time… but its 20 years old. Fight Forever feels like an arcaic game with not enough content to warrant a $60 purchase let alone the additional $30 to add more wrestlers to its small roster.
