Nolte at his best, which is formidable. Terrific screenplay. Wonderful storyline. Loved it.

Uneasy but well made family dynamic drama. Not for the tea set.

One mans story of inherited addiction, family abuse and dysfunction and his obsession with what he suspects happened to a wealthy business man. Purchased for a substance use disorder rehab.

This movie is an interesting look into the pschology of abuse and neglect. Mixed with a twisted plot full of murder, dirty money, and disturbing behavoir. Although there are strong perfomances by the entire supporting cast, Nick Nolte takes the cake. Playing a man who has been emotionally abandoned and a victim of the abuse of an alcholic father. Some scenes in this movie are the most believable and disturbing i've seen in film. Its a great story with a sad but real ending. No hollywood gimmics here. Definately worth your time.
