I loved this series when it first came out and it looks even better on blu-ray. It's not edited like some others have claimed.

Good Purchase For Anime Enthusiasts! I would like to get Samurai Jack Next in Blu-ray

This is a fun anime I highly recommended to any anime fans.

Blu ray looks beautiful. Top notch audio, video and plenty of good little extras for those that care for that. The anime itself is pretty good but just a little too over the top for me. I love Ninja Scroll and those type of super powered characters but some of the villains here are just too absurd even for an anime. One shoots out 50 or so missiles from a rocket launcher and then has missiles busting out of his hi-tech arm all the while his partner has a patch eye that is examining everything on the battlefield and Afro Samurai bob and weaves, slides, jumps, ducks, and runs past all of that without a single hint of desperation, anxiety, worrisome or stress. That's another fault of this otherwise pretty cool anime, afro samurai is too invincible at times.

I love the show grew up on it watching it as a kid on FX I remember I think I wish they kept going with it I don’t know why I got canceled this is one of the best animated samurai saga is out there

Come on man, AFRO SAMURAI!!! What more needs to be said, definitely not for children though. Awesome story, cool animation AND priced great!

This is one of the more clever animations I've seen in a while. Samuel Jackson shows off another one of his many talents. This is one cool warrior series you'll get hooked on for sure.

This blu ray is freaking awesome and quite difficult to get. Watching it from beginning to end is a blast and the sound is amazing. Love it!

great anime for something that came out of the US; great voice acting by Samuel L Jackson and a compelling story about revenge.

This is the animee in one collection, and it's just as great as ever, and I'm happy to have it on blu-ray.

I enjoyed watching this on cable. Had to get it on Blu ray.

There's no doubt that Afro Samurai has a cool and simple concept and a very bloody style. In this future world of feudal Japan nothing seems to matter but two headbands that represent the two best fighters. To get to the number one fighter you must go through the number two and to get to the number two you must go trough everyone else. This way of life that nobody should have to live especially a child who has nothing but the headbands and revenge on his mind. As a child Afro saw his father who was the number one fighter at the time get massacred by a man named Justice. After the fight is over Justice takes the number one headband off of the head of Afro's father, which was not too far away from his body. Justice tells Afro something similar to what Uma Thurman said to Vivica A. Fox's daughter in Kill Bill, that if he wanted revenge he would fight him when he came for him. Loved the Action sequences between Afro and Gino, the animation was fluid and on par with anything else out there currently, definitely recommend to anyone who loves Anime.

For a 3 hour wrap up, this is a great series. No different than buying a lengthy anime movie like Akira or Steamboy. Its a 6 episode segment, but that's the only drawback. Still, it does a great job of presenting high definition quality and sound, whether on a standard def TV or beyond. The voice acting is great, and for 20 bucks, having original, unedited footage makes it worth having. And I could have chosen the DVD version for 15 bucks with the edited footage...but I wanted the original cut, and in HD...so 5 bucks more, its worth the price.

Surprisingly good and loved the soundtrack. Perfect mixture of anime and hip hop.

Overall this is a great series. I wish they would make more like this.
