I'm a little baffled by the 4.6 rating in these reviews. My experience with these headphones only shows me that this technology is just not there yet. I am returning these headphones today, and going back to in-ears. The first issue I have is that these were grossly misrepresented by the guy who assisted me in the store. He conveyed the notion that these do not throw sound out at all, like traditional headphones. I was led to believe that these would not disturb other people. As these headphones are basically just tiny speakers pressed against your cheekbones, the amount of sound thrown away to outside users is monumentally louder than my in-ear pair. Do not let anyone talk you into believing that these will isolate the sound to only your head! My second issue is with the vibration. How anyone can tolerate these for more than a few songs baffles me. No matter the placement, once these were pushed even one click past the halfway point on volume, they begin to vibrate. This vibration carries into my ear and is profoundly distracting and uncomfortable. It makes sense to me now why these are not setup in-store with any means of trying this new-ish to consumers tech. They would likely not at all sell, if we could try them first. Perhaps Trekz, or another company, may get this right and meet the claims they make for this product, but it's just not there yet.

1st pair died in 6 mos; replacement lasted 2 weeks

I'm waiting for customer service to respond to my new ticket but I have only had the replacment set for 2 weeks - literally. The last one started to sound tinny. This one no longer responds to the buttons. It could not be turned off and then when the battery died and I re-charged it (lights still function) it would not turn back on. Very disapointed at how delicate this must be. it's never been dropped or wet (other than some sweat) and there's no reason for it to be broken.

1st set lasted 2 years; next 2 sets lasted 2 weeks

I really liked listening to podcasts on my 1st set of AfterShokz Air, while running or walking. That set lasted about 2 years, and then the left ear stopped working. My 2nd set lasted only about 2 weeks and then, without warning, no longer turned-on. I promptly got a 3rd set that, bizarrely, also lasted only about 2 weeks. In this 3rd set's final use, I noticed the pause button turned the set off a few times, instead of pausing. After that run, I turned-off the 3rd set, but just found they too will no longer turn-on. In summary, about 6 weeks ago, I would have rated this device 5 stars, but must now drop the rating to 1 star...ridiculous that each of my last 2 new sets burned-out in 2 weeks. I will not waste another dollar on this remarkably unreliable device.

    Aftershokz Aeropex

My Aftershokz Aeropex quit working 3 weeks after purchasing then in a Best Buy store. Best Buy says it’s not their problem. Aftershokz said they’d send replacements. It’s now months later and still no replacements. I recommend staying away from Best Buy and Aftershokz.
