I have designed such a Antenna based device in my head, but there has never been one on the market. I am loving the Antenna Air Box DVR. 94 digital channels and the ability to record anyone while I am doing something else......Sorry, but I now skip as many commericals as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a little pricey for a DVR that only work on over the air signals. It does as it says. Works great in Mesa, AZ. The only problem is that one has to adjust the antenna for some of the channels. You have to pay $10 a month you get DVR. Pay for the equipment then pay for the service. You do get a lot of channels.

Hooks up easily but when it came time to program it in it said that we were not in the proper area. Would be a great item for those living in thie proper area.

I gave it 4 stars because it's has a cost for the dvr service meaning they charge you a fee to be able to record. Now that fee includes some channels but the reason I left cable was to not have a fee and yet I can't getaway from fees. So I return the dvr and got direct TV instead. LOL with internet comes out about the same price . Go figure.

I bought this dvr and was very excited when I got it. Went to hook it up and got no signal. Called the Airbox company to only find out you have to be in certain areas. I live in Nashville tn. But to activate this device you have to be in the Memphis area. So this makes this device null in my area. Bummer! No DVR.

This product works great. I was able to get 93 channels with my mid-range antenna. Activating the box was a breeze. DVR works and there is little to no difference in pausing live TV or look/feel of this product compared to ATT Uverse or cable companies.

Operates more like an antenna,total waste of $175.00

I want to record over the air TV shows and the salesclerk at Best Buy said this should work. But when I receive it I was instructed to call a number to be able to record. The person at Airbox said I needed to sign up for a plan and the least cost plan was $20/mo. and since I was not in a city were Airbox services, they did not know if it was going to work. I return the unit back to Best Buy.

I used to have a DVR when I had cable. I have small kids and they love taping their shows. I heard that I could get a dvr with an antenna and found it here at best buys website. I like that I bought the dvr and don't have to rent it every month like cable.

I read reviews here about the DVR, I live in Houston so I can get Airbox. I guess it only works in a few places. I wanted a DVR since I like to pause things if I need to. I ordered and they shipped fast, I set it up no problem I am recording the Tonight Show again and trying out Showtime.

I bought the Airbox about two months ago because I heard I could get movie channels with my antenna. It is true I use my rabbit ears to use it I didn't believe it at first. I saw on TV that I can get a DVR with antenna too. I already record some movies and there is no contract.

I saw this Airbox and wanted to figure out if I really only needed an antenna and no internet for the DVR to work. It is true so I ordered it and it works!

I bought Airbox a few months ago and like the DVR. I got a new antenna too and get a bunch of channels for free and then just pay for the movie channels and the DVR, I think it is a pretty good deal since I do not have a contract.

I thought that the Airbox was to good to be true when I saw it here. Then I called up AirBox to make sure they where not going to charge me to rent the box and get me in a contract like my cable used to do. I got the DVR and Yeah I had to buy it up front but it will be less than renting a cable box and I do not need internet. The thing I like most is no contract so if I skip a month I do not get charged. Thank you Airbox.

My husband was tired of just local channels and we wanted more for a good price. The airbox is cheap enough and I got a DVR too and record tons of movies. No contract either

Arrived quickly, setup was easy, friendly people on the phone. So far, DVR works great.

Found out about this box from some friends. Were paying lots of money in bills to cable. But we wanted to keep ability to record shows. My cousin tried it also but he wasn't it their area but we were! Shows look great can't tell difference except the money.

They got some good channels on the Airbox and I never had a DVR before. I set it up to record every one of my favorite shows and now I watch them late at night. The customer service person knew how to help me set it up and get my antenna in the right spot.

When I got a prepaid cell phone I swore I would never do another contract. This is the same basic idea, but with TV. Except now I have a DVR. Buy it and you're free to pay for a package when you are ready. I may get the top package next month
