Perfect solution for cord cutters that kept internet. cost for my 100mb internet - 39.99 cost for my Sling subscription 30.00(includes 60gb storage and dvr) 69.99 total=about 80.00 in savings each month. This box combine both the Sling programming and over the air. choice of different views exp. sports, my channels, over the air, over the air etc. If you ad a external drive to the second USB port, it now allows you to record you over the air channels to the hard drive

Box works but found box hangs if it runs out of memory. Found that external disk drive stopped it from hanging. Was able to disable sling tv app from being primary launcher which was easy. Mostly got box for Ota tv adapter. Box works well with other apps like dish anywhere and vudu.

The airtv player is nice, zI added a 1tb usb HD and can record ota channels but there's only 1 tuner so you can't change channels while recording.

No OTA DVR with latest firmware?!! Play store is limited. Cannot install any apps. Only a certain amount. Unit worked pretty good with OTA signals and sling tv. Guide was nice and useful showing both OTA channels and Sling tv channels. Couldnt get the OTA dvr to work.

Does what it needs to do. Works well for older people who are not tech savy.

I would recommend this device to everyone. You can get Sling TV with this and it cost 29 per month and you get 50 channels which is a lot cheaper than cable company’s. Plus u hook up a digital antenna and get 30 more local channels

This is a great device to combine local antenna, streaming services and apps. So far it works seamlessly.

Easy to use interface for technically challenged people who want to move into the streaming world.

One of the main things this product is supposed to provide is a guide for your antenna tv stations. If the guide information is slow coming over the internet the device actually won't let the tv stations play. Another problem is that when it is turned on but not in use the tv will sometimes randomly switch over to it. Access to Netflix and Hulu work fine, actually a little better than they do on my smart tv. The other streaming services provided are interesting to check out, but they don't end up getting used.

Great device specially if you don't longer want to paid monthly cable bill.

Initial setup was easy and quick. 4/5 Remote - easy to launch Netflix and sling apps. 4/5 User interface - 3/5 Performance - I notice a lag and slowness while switching from one app to another. Not great. 3/5 Cable channels - local channels work well with the antenna attachment. Overall, a very normal product. Did not find anything special about this as compared to its competitors like Roku. I would recommend this to my friends.

Works well with sling, I would have liked to get multiple tv’s using one Airtv. I think some devices you can but not this one.

AirTV is a genus smart Android TV player that does keep up with the best of them. Most of the integration is done with Sling TV in mind but it does function well. With that said it is heavy focused on sling TV itself (Think of it like a Sling TV cable box with apps/Sling’s Fire TV.) it’s strange and different using compared to others. I’ll like to talk about the main home interface first because this is where you mainly be. Soon as you start you are greeted with Slings UI here immediately trying to get you used to the navigation. It feels convoluted at times but the functionality is fine. The recommend content is the row of apps where you will see Hulu, Netflix, and others at the bottom. It feels like it’s out of the way and it’s not as easy to get the apps you want. I feel like the UI is fictional just not very good. They will be rolling updates as time goes on so it’s expected to get better but still it’s a task just getting to the store with apps. As a Sling user though you will have a blast with this thing as it tailor made for your experience. I been a Sling user for a while and the app is the same basically across the board. I never had issues with the service. The channels are clear and crisp on the HDTV. AirTV can handle 4K programming but no HDR here. The performance can keep up with Amazon Fire TV, the Google Chromecast Ultra, Shield TV, and Newer Roku boxes. Navigation isn't as fast but it generally didn't take too long for me to load apps from the play store. The design is a nice change of pace from the same black designs all the rest of the TV set-top boxes out there. On the top of the Air TV is a button Incase you lose the remote that comes with it. I happen to like how it’s different setting under the TV but it’s also the color white which is a big no-no to me. The remote is toy-like but it’s comfortable and large enough in the hand, More comfortable then using a Roku remote. There is a questionable diamond button on the remote that kinda take you to get the apps but other then that it’s a good remote. Air TV’s USB Antenna adapter is the star of the show here. I used a Mohu Supreme paired up with the Air TV and it worked wonderfully. Having internet supported cable and local channels was amazing! Once you set up the box and scan the channels it’s was 100% working. Even though the Air TV have its share of problems this fact alone was enough to own the product. P.S: Air TV USB antenna only works for the Air TV. It will not work with PC, Xbox One, or Shield TV. So don’t expect it to work on everything when you buy it.) Anyway if you are going to get the AirTV for this functionality alone then it’s hands down the best way to use an local antenna. The AirTV was made with video in mind not gaming or anything else. You can play games but in the end you’ll end up with just about 6GB of space. There are no microSD card slots and you can't use USB storage as expandable memory. (But an update maybe on the way for DVR support with USB.) none of this I’m guessing should be an issue for the basic consumer but this is clearly not a Shield TV so take it for what it’s worth. Overall to me it’s a nice set-top box but clearly would only recommend to people who want to take their local TV to the next level without playing a huge price. It hit all the check notes you maybe looking for when you become a “cord cutter.” It’s perfect for videos and music (not games) so it’s perfect for those who just want something simple under their TV. But I severely recommend you being a sling TV subscriber or using the Awesome $50 sling code provided with the player.

I cut the cord and currently using this to pickup OTA channels....works great. The built in tuner picks up OTA superbly. I am running it with a Terk HD antenna and it’s working like a charm. It runs on an android tv system so you use google play to download apps.

Set up is really easy! Best part about it is it creates an assortment of guides for you which put both your Sling TV and your over the air Channels together. It also has an additional USB port on the back for video storage. On Setup it Synced up my TV automatically.

Bought mainly for over the air use and beta DVR. It is mainly a Sling TV Promo device and I didn't care much for Sling, however canceling online was easy. OTA DVR is okay but suffers from lack of a 2nd tuner - can't watch one while recording another. The remote function is great, layout not - pause button is below ff & rew not between them - go figure.
