Sheesh, you get what you pay for. Not only is this the sturdiest desk I've ever had the pleasure of using, but it was also the easiest to put together. It's not quite as heavy as I thought I would be, but it's certainly around standing desk weight. This thing is built like a tank, and I don't know what I have to say to make it clear that the materials it's made out of are premium, but it's VERY nice. Though, there are two general things about this desk that I'm not exactly a fan of. The first one has to do with mounting anything on the desk. If you plan on putting monitor arms of any kind on this desk, I can't recommend it. There's a bar on the back of the desk that's much too close to the edge of the wood on the top. There's hardly enough room on the back side of it to mount anything, and I had to buy a new mount that would fit it better than the things that I have, but still not flush. The same goes for the sides, the sturdiness of this thing makes mounting anything a competition for space, on a very spacious desk. My only other gripe with this beautiful piece of machinery is the price. The solid black version of this desk is nearly 400 dollars, and while it occasionally goes on sale for around 340, I could hardly justify getting this over a similarly priced standing desk, even with a hefty employee discount. The deciding factor was my other option going out of stock, and while the desk that I got is hands down the highest quality desk I've had the pleasure of working with, I simply can't recommend it to someone paying full price for it.
