Listen, Will Smith is not Robin Williams and he doesn't do an impression or pretend to be "his genie". He does his own thing while also keeping the fun essence. Interestingly enough the weak link in the singing department comes from the actor playing Aladdin, Yes they wanted to go ethnically correct but I feel he lacked in the vocals department, the actress playing Jasmine was amazing and strong, beautiful and had a gorgeous voice! Overall a fun movie.

It's very simply a remake. It cannot rival the animated version for two reasons, the nostalgia of watching it as a kid, amd the comedic genious of the Late Great Robin Williams. There is no way to remake his movies and do them proper justice, however, coming in second to him can never be a negative. Wonderful movie with a wonderful cast. Will Smith does a great job as the genie, the music is great, and all together a great film to watch with the family.

The problem with remaking such iconic movies like Aladdin is that they will always be compared to the original, which does the film a disservice. The original is a beloved classic that many of us grew up with. Is this as good as the original? No. But it's still a solid movie that if not compared to the original would fare much better. Solid Picture Quality and a decent amount of special features make this a recommendation for fans of the film.

A super remake of a classic Disney movie. The original starred the eternal Robin Williams, and that is the only thing this movie doesn't have. Will Smith does an excellent job, though, and the movie does not disappoint! ....and oh, my gosh, the costumes!! Definitely made for 4K.

I was skeptical about this live action, but it was well made in their own way. The music was good and Will Smith did a good job on the Genie, you can never beat the original animation but for the new generation this was a hit. I enjoyed it as well as my kids. Definitely recommend it!

Not being a big fan of remakes , I was expecting that I would not like this movie. However, this movie turned out to be surprisingly good. The comedy is hilarious. I would recommend this movie to families with kids as well as just for adults because it is just that entertaining.

This movie was very entertaining and will be fun for the older kids to watch. However, some of the acting was a little corny and the added songs were not that good. Special effects were great and Will Smith did a pretty decent job, kind of hard to follow Robin Williams. The bar was set really high to begin with. Overall you will enjoy watching but it’s not the classic the original is but Disney did ok with this live action rendition.

I honestly will always have a special place in my heart for Robin Williams as the original genie. That being said, Will Smith creates his own role in this live action version of Aladdin, and brings a flare to the movie which, personally, makes this better than the original.

I was so skeptical when I heard about this movie being remade cause Robin Williams is really hard to beat, but Will Smith really brought his own vibe to it and made it his. Had chills every time I heard the songs and made me think of childhood memories. Highly recommend!!!!

OK, I haven't been a fan of Mr. Smith for years, however I went into this with an open mind, after all it's Disney. He was great, everybody was, good movie, visuals were off the chart, will be re watching this again for sure, probably several times, the audio was great too.

Great remake from Disney. Well thought out character picks for these real life rolls given this movie was based on an animated remake. This is a keeper with fantastic scenery and an overall great recording for you blu-ray and 4k enthusiasts. Just buy it and enjoy...

As a huge Aladdin fan, I was worried about how this live version would be. The casting is great and Will Smith did a great job as Genie. Robin Williams would’ve been proud. The slight differences from the original didn’t bother me at all because the cast were so good.

I love Will Smith like love love love! But, had he not satisfied my genie needs, I would say so. It was a great movie. The actors are great, I loved it, and I am a HUGE Disney fan that does NOT like all the live actions. This one was great and so was Dumbo! FYI LOL

Hi Guys, I'm no movie critic, I got this movie with hopes of having another movie I could watch with my grandson. He's very particular about movies he chose to like and unfortunately, this was not one of them. In defense of the movie, he's a 4 year old and not yet old enough to enjoy the quality of this movie. I will set down with him when he's older and give it another try. I thought the movie it's self was great.

Movie was priced well and there were plenty available in the store. I was that customer that comes in couple minutes before close, but the staff directed me right to the movie and took the time to be helpful and gracious although it was just about time to close.

Aladdin is such a great film. The nostalgia added with modern technology made this film top notch. Adding a solo for Jasmine was also amazing cause we never got to see that in the original cartoon. Speechless is a great song and should be nominated for an Oscar!

It’s Aladdin,Abu,Genie,Jasmin, and the gang in an update to the original Disney film. Will smith plays the genie fantastically. My kids love it and want to watch it on repeat. They even demand we watch it in the car whenever we go out. It’s a whole new world!

I was skeptical of this remake because of the genie, but WOW! They found a way to make it work. And I don’t know if it was just me, but it seemed they changed genie’s dialogue slightly so Will was not saying the exact lines Robin did. It is an amazing movie.

I remember watching this when it was animated, years ago when my son was real little. So when I watched it last night, I felt like it was a new movie to me, cause I couldn't remember too much of it. I do like it much better in real life form though!!

Great cast, music and dancing! My nephew saw in the theater, immediately memorized all the songs and counted down until it was released on DVD, which I'd pre-purchased as a belated birthday gift for him. He watched the DVD the very day I gave to him.
