My phone for senior first time smart phone working good he is still a bit confused how to use stuff but not the phones fault - works really well - saved us money for sure

This is a good entry level smartphone for someone who might not be responsible enough to take care of the more expensive flagship phones.

Nice size. When on the phone, the voice on the other end is not clear, kind of like muffled. No voice recorder. Has a lot of apps ready to use.

Come on Tracfone. We really need some easier to use phone for seniors. I mean really, who needs the internet and text when your in bed in pain and just need to call the family. You might be on medicine and a little whoozie, make it easy for me to answer the phone with my arthritic hands please. Make the buttons bigger and I like the flip phone over the dumb smart phone and thank you but no...you have a good service we all use but come on, age with us a bit and make something a little easier for us, please and thank you.

Great phone for my aunt, easy to use. large enough font and great service connection at all times. Great price without technology compromise!!

I bought this for my grandson and he loves it. I like that I can control what he downloads, locate him and can see his history.

I bought this phone online as a present for my parents so they could upgrade from their LG Fuel tracfone to this one, but when I tried to transfer their tracfone service from their old tracfone to this new one I was told by tracfone that the phone I bought online from Bestbuy.com was never scanned so they could not help me. I had to return it to the store to have them scan it. Which store, I bought it online at www.bestbuy.com I told them and its flu season. What is their phone number they asked me. www.bestbuy.com/help is the only contact info given on the slip sent I said. Send us the barcode by email. I did. Nothing. Phoned back only to be told to try phone back in 24-48 hours. Beyond angry. Also as for the phone itself, the SD card slot is very hard to get at with a key and after inserting a card the phone only gives one formatting option that of portable not expandable storage. Also in terms of its OS 8.1 is not as intuitive as 7.1 in my opinion. Not a recommended purchase for anyone.

I loved this phone when I got it, but I needed to send it back to Tracfone because it was defective. Getting a new one today so hopefully that one will be better.

Purchased as a gift for a young teen. Great way to make sure they don’t go over their minutes.

It's a TracFone, it makes calls, and sends and receives texts. For a person who isn't on their phone constantly, it's a great deal!

Bought one of these - couldn't even get through activating it and the phone kept turning on and off in rapid succession. BBY sent me a replacement. Fast forward 2 weeks (conveniently outside best buy's return policy, now). As the phone is an emergency "spare" phone in the house, it had not been used to make any calls or even leave the counter it is being stored on. Phone said it had to do an update - clicked on "install update" -- It installed it, and now the pile of junk is doing the same thing the other did - Turning on and off in rapid succession. It doesn't get past the "alcatel powered by android" screen before turning back off. I called best buy - they refused to help whatsoever (even though I'm an elite plus member) and told me to call Alcatel. I called Alcatel, and they told me that Tracfone actually owns the phone and I need to call them for support. I called Tracfone support (located in the Phillipines) and their phone lines have SO much static that I could hear about 1 of every 15 words they said. I tried calling back with a different phone just in case - got a different representative with the same amount of static. I threw it away. Thanks BBY for the awesome double failure on this. Wouldn't recommend this garbage phone to anyone.
