If you have 15 vhs tapes of Hitchcock and wanted them on DVD, this would be ideal for you as it is what they have practically done. Copy VHS movies to DVD. Or, if you never seen Hitchcock and wanted to get started, this has many movies to see. The problem is that the movies are not re-mastered so the quality is very poor overall, the first movie, THE LADY VANISHES, the first 2 seconds you see the film twirl as it came from a copy reel. The second problem is that there are no captions/subtitles. Remember, since the quality is poor overall, the audio is equally bad, add to that the British accents and the dialect and just words and expressions of the day and it could be a bit challenging to understand everything they say. The last thing is the overall production of the DVDs is poor. I think anyone with a PC could have produced a better layout. It looked tacky and left you yearning for more. For the money I paid, then it was priced right for what I got. If you are looking for QUALITY with all the spoils that DVD technology brings you nowadays, this is not for you. If you want QUANTITY at value price, this is for you! ps. the video has a quality of only 480i.

How can you not like this collection of 15 Hitchcock films. It is so great top be able to watch a "good" movie without having to worry about cursing or excessive violent. Hitchcock films always have that little twist that keeps you hook through out the film. Great, Greater, greatest Hitchcok is NUMBER 1.

I got this as a gift for a friend and the quality is great. Great priced too!
