Great Movie I loved it, I was disappointed that it didn’t came out in 3D since the first one was in Blu-Ray 3D. But other then that very entertaining for the whole family.

I had not read the book so I have no familiarity with the story line. Time travel movies always have confusing, continuity concerns and the risk of "Destroying the known universe", and this movie was rather predictable in all of that. Still, it was a fun movie to watch and the time-travel elements make you need to really watch this more than once to really keep track of what is going on. The movie does carry over an element of the first film and fully shows what kind of damage and hurt can be done through being dishonest, especially when it comes to tarts. I purchased this along with Alice in Wonderland. I'm ensuring I have movies before the politics going on takes things away.

Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy - All in one.

Physical media is good. It includes a physical blu-ray disc, a physical DVD, and a digital copy that can be attached to Google Play Movies, iTunes store, etc.... Since Google Play is available on most platforms including iOS/iPhones/iPads, Android devices, and via the browser, it can be played pretty much anywhere. Can view on Chromecast and AirPlay devices. Using Google Play for the digital media version also allows you to download offline to view on a plane or where there is no wifi/cell service. These will also show up in your YouTube library if attached to your Google Play account making it easy to watch on any device. Movie itself pairs good with Alice in Wonderland. Only purchase movies which include the blu-ray, DVD, and digital copy since most in-vehicle and portable players only play DVD and not blu-ray, while blu-ray has better video and audio quality for home, and the digital copy makes it easy to use. Better than paying nearly the same for just a digital copy.

Too bad box office for this movie would seem to rate it poorly but it was as good as the first and teaches several great messages to children and adults alike; do not be hasty in condemnation before getting all the facts, as appearances can be deceiving, and, time and it's passage and our aging is a curse or a blessing depending mostly how we use it; you cannot change the past but you can change the meaning and direction of the past and present and force suffering and loss to work for you instead of against you, by changing the future by correcting the present. And, never give up and things will usually turn out ok, though not as we expect. Plus, it gives both endings. Watch it and see what I mean.

I was pretty disappointed with the previous Alice movie just for the fact that I was a HUGE fan of Tim Burton and loved his darker style of story telling.. So I'll admit I was a little unsure about this purchase but was an impulse by because I have a weird obsession with Alice in Wonderland.. so I bought this (not even knowing that Tim Burton hadn't produced it..) and kind of glad he didn't for the fact that the new producer finally did what I had hoped they would do in the first movie!! They really made this story darker and creepier and make a lot of awesome reference about not being able to cheat time, etc.. loved the concept.. and Sacha Baron Cohen is amazing in the movie!!

We were hesitant to watch this due to the rather poor reviews, but after checking it out on cable, I knew I wanted it for my collection. Not as good as the first, but still an enjoyable adventure populated with weird but lovable characters. Hard to believe the Hatter is played by the same kid I first saw so many years ago in Nightmare on Elm Street! Great costumes and set designs that look fantastic on bluray. Check it out, especially if you're a fan of all things Wonderland, like I am!

A New Twist on an Old Story

This movie doesn't follow the original story of Alice Through the Looking Glass but it does tell an interesting new tale that was unexpected. Alice has grown into the strong woman as she was developing into in the first movie. It also has developed a back story of the rivalry between the red and white queens. The movie was refreshing in it's imagination while staying mostly true to the original characters from the books. The set designs and costumes are beautiful.

The past meets present . Alice is on her own but battles feminine oppression. Why can't a girl command a ship? Alice is called back to wonderland to help hatter and her friends in the kingdom. Beautiful color, cgi & storyline. I won't spoil the ending but it was interesting. It is a good family movie girls will have questions and parents will answer & reflect the past to future of their daughters paths. Enjoyed the movie hope you will to.

Me and my daughter went to see this movie at the movie theatre when we left the move she asked if we could own it when it comes out and of course I agreed. We picked it up yesterday and she has already watched it 2 times. This one is definitely a favorite!

This movie was a pretty decent sequal. The visual effects and wardrobe were spot on! The story line was good too. I liked seeing more of a back story on the characters like, the white and red queens childhood and the Hatters relationship with his father. The portrayal of Time was interesting as well. Though, in not a fan of Sasha Baron Cohan, he did well in the movie. I just would have preferred to see someone else in a kids movie.

I really enjoyed this movie and thought it was unfairly reviewed by critics and possibly the public at large. The premise might be a bit strange but of course it is supposed to be - it is Alice in Wonderland after all. In the end I enjoyed the story, the performances and thought it had a great story. The one problem I had was how the Red Queen's story was handled, I do not want to give away too much.

Great Sequel to Alice in Wonderland

I think the sequel is actually better than Alice in Wonderland. The acting, cinematography, special effects, costumes, make-up, sound, and plot are all wonderful. Johnny Depp is a perfect Mad Hatter. Sasha Cohen is also great in a more dramatic role than usual for him. If you liked the original, you will love Alice Through the Looking Glass. I can't imagine anyone with an imagination not liking this movie.

If you are a Tim Burton fan, then you will enjoy this sequel to Alice in Wonderland. Great story and great acting. It wouldn't be a Burton classic without Johnny Depp, right?? Great makeup and special effects to go along with a well rounded cast. Worth picking up and a no brainer if you can get it like I did for $9.99 for the combo DVD + Blu-ray.

This Disney live action sequel to Alice in Wonderland and the second book in the series by Charles L. Dodgson continues the adventure of Alice (Mia Wasikowska) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) in Wonderland to right a past wrong by taking on Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen). She needs to find to find her "muchness" by remembering that nothing is impossible in this insane world.

Alice Through the Looking Glass is better than the Tim Burton adaptation that preceded it. It succeeds by delving into the backgrounds of the Mad Hatter, and sisters the Queen of Hearts and the White Queen. Looser than the previous film and more fun as a result, the sequel features a game cast. However with both Lewis Carroll books "adapted", it may be time to write The End.

When Johnny Depp and Tim Burton get together, you know you're going to get something a little off the beaten path, but it will be interesting and full of cinematic detail and ingenuity. That's all true with Alice Through the Looking Glass. It's an adventure and candy for the eyes and imagination.
