Yes, yes, yes. So many dark scenes are greatly enhanced with 4K resolution.

Great sci-fi/horror film. Blu-ray is nice, but not much enhancement for film of this age. Extra add-ins in video content, and cards,etc is a plus.

What else can you say about a classic movie breakthrough roll for almost everybody involved in this movie and great movie to watch and be scared off.

Alien is a classic horror movie, and it really comes to life with the new steelbook packaging on this edition.

A spaceship answers a distress signal by landing on an uninhabited planet. While there they discover that they are not alone. Probably Ridley Scott's best film.

Best movie, best quality. Alien manages to feel modern even though it’s forty years old. So entertaining.

This movie is amazing in 4k along with the matrix and blade runner this is one of my favorite movies on UHD.

This is the best of the series of Alien movies. This remaster preserves the original movie and adds the right amount of detail to make it interesting.

The Alien Blu ray transfer is tip top. Absolutely worth the upgrade if you own the DVD. The reprint of the comic is fantastic. Very pleased all around.

I've been eating for this on 4K and I was not disappointed. This is what way it was meant to be seen.

I love the 'Alien' storyline, even if the quality of the later chapters seem to be going down. Alien, caught on with many people with the sci-fi/horror genre and Aliens, I thought, brought in the fans of sci-fi horror and those wanting more 'Rambo' style action. But, after that the next chapters storyline quality seemed to take a downward trend...they weren't bad, just not what I was hoping for in quality. This edition of the original Alien movie is one of the best editions, I've seen. On this Blu-ray you can choose to play the Theatrical version or the Directors-Cut version....Not much is added to the story and doesn't seem to noticable but it's neat to see what was cut. The extras in this edition are pretty nice too. If you have other editions of Alien, I'd say wait till it's on sale (I bought mine for !$3) but if you don't have it or haven't seen it, you should definitely pick up this edition.

Unfortunately nothing new here besides the 4K upgrade, but it was on sale at a good price. My copy had a few small dents on the steelbook but nothing worth sending back over. Hope bestbuy will be a little more gentle with these steelbook releases in the future.

Great Classic Film with Ultraviolet, states it is remastered but this is the same version that is available in the box set and the new reboxed quadrilogy.
