It was the start to a great series, albeit with other actors playing the lead characters. Was also the first time my wife and I had seen Mandy Patinkin in a great performance as the main Alien. Great story and it got it all off to a great start.

This is one of my favorite sci-fi flicks, you're able to suspend your disbelief and go with the world they set up. The movie looks great and is in widescreen so you can see what the director intended. Okay special features.

This was the movie that started it all. The cast is different than the TV series but you like them just as much. At first I thought I wouldn't like the change in actors but both "sets" for both movies/series did a wonderful and believable job. I highly recommend you start at the beginning with this movie before watching the series, then lastly, watch the additional movies made.
