I'm an avid AVP fan. I bought the game solely on this premise. Get this game to pass time and earn achievements. Online is ridiculous. They should have put more time in the details. Maps are dumb and graphics are about as good as the original XBOX and no where near what the 360 is capable. Forget about trophy kills online, because just as soon as you have someone wrapped up, someone else will come behind you and not only take your kill, but kill you as well. Be prepared to be frustrated. The campaign is tough as I play on Hard. The controls are ridiculous. Why on Earth would Sega decide to use the RB and LB buttons as the main attacks is beyond me. The Hiss capability online is absolutely useless, unless you just like the sound effect.

This game is NOT FOR CHILDREN!!! sorry had to put that is there because all the online matches I played had someone under the age of 8 in them. So parents be parents. The game its self is true to the source material to the movies and the original computer games. If you don't like the movies or the original game, you will not like this game. Each type of character truly feel like them should, as a human you run away and shoot at scary things in the dark, as a predator you sneak up on people and gut them, and as an alien you run on the ceiling and pounce on people. The graphics have a retro 80 feel to them like the movies and will put off people that must have the best rendered graphics. Over all I am a fan of the movies and when I play the online and single player I feel like the species I am playing. It is a pretty immersive experience over all. If you want to be an alien and run on a ceiling and eat people this is your game.

First off let me say that I am not familiar with the AVP movies nor do I care to be. I bought this game because it sounded fun. Graphics are not anywhere near what they should be considering the xbox 360's capabilities. The controls are absurd I mean, come on RB, LB for attacks?? The multiplayer online is boring as you get killed from behind everytime you attempt a trophy kill and the maps suck. I had high hopes for infestation but that too was no good. Overall a huge disapointment for me.

I love the AVP series of movies, and this game just added to it. The storyline is pretty good.. it's no Gears of War, but it's got a story enough to make it more than just a hackem' and slashem' game. The multiplayer online is great; there's nothing like cloaking and going in for a kill. I think the online deathmatch makes the game by itself.

Rebellion the developers of Rouge Warrior brings you AVP.Made like it's movie counterpart you can play through 3 campaigns,Alien,Predator, and Marine. In the end all 3 campaign missions are linked together. The Predator campaign is the best out of the 3 because he hunts high above the levels, uses his shoulder laser cannon, rips peoples spines out,and even turns invisible to blend in with the background.Sometimes it's hard to know where or how high you can jump with the Predator. It seems at times the controls are broken, just like in Rouge Warrior. The Alien can move above the levels, crawl through vents, just like in the movies, but has a hard time with running across certain objects. The Marine plays just like a FPS.Certain points the graphics look a little dated, some of the level designs looked a little bland. The sound is pretty much what you've heard in almost all the alien, predator movies, the music could use some improvement on certain levels, voice acting is just not up to par.The game is about 2-3 hours for each campaign.Multiplayer is probably the best thing this game has going for it,and that's not really saying much. While at times this game does certain things right,it also does a lot of things wrong. At a price of $60 spend your money on a solid FPS.

The story mode to this game is completely useless!
The online game play was suppose to be the best thing ever. YEAH RIGHT! You have the alien class that can only use melee attacks...which means they sneak up alot and one shot you. The predator starts off only with wrist blades and cloaking device. CLOAKING DEVICE?! More like useless device. The alien can see you when your cloaked and also the humans can shine a light on you and they can see your outline. Then theres the marine...a human against aliens. The human class is the most overpowered of them all! It can melee kill an alien, the simple assault rifle you get is more than enough to take down a predator with 3 shots. Also when you go for a trophy kill (alien and predator class) you leave yourself wide open for anyone to attack you!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME!!!

Well today i tried the demo for Alien vs. Predator on Xbox360, and it was a total excitement! This is the kind of game that you will certainly play for a long time. The multi-player demo you can either be the human soldier, the Alien, which on this game you can walk pretty much anywhere, ceiling, walls and it seems so real, and then theres the Predators which you can snipe players with shoulder cannon, you can switch between 3 viewing modes, and while your playing the Predator it seems real. My overall opinion is this game looks fantastic, and is fantastic. Hope you enjoy this game like i did. Happy gaming.:P

Don't Judge it by the Demo

I post this because i hear people saying the demo is junk, yes it is junk they even have a disclaimer before you start to play it saying it doesnt at all reflect the quality of the final game because they know its pretty messy... what do you really want from a demo any way? if your an AVP fan buy this, try this and when its all said and done at least you can say you were there :P Personally i love all the past AVP games and from what i can tell they have kept enough the same or the idea's at least for this to catch a fans eye. Buy it and i doubt you'll regret it. If you do... bummer what-eve's.
Ps i gave it three stars for length because every time i get to the end of any aliens game i just want to keep on playin.

I was really into shooters when I purchased this title, and absolutely LOVE the movies (Aliens being in my top five, if not # 1). Sad to say, the game came off as a disappointment. Things that made the game a no-play for me:
Marines: You could, quite literally, unload an entire pulse clip on an alien in story mode and have it never, ever die. In the movie, all it took was a short controlled burst, and you had acid soup. Felt like I was trying to shoot them with a BB gun; not a gun firing explosive tipped caseless rounds.
Predators: You can lock on and fire the shoulder rifle a total of--ready for this--two times! Then it is out of juice. What?! I missed the part in the movie where the big alien guy ran around grapping power cables in the middle of the jungle. This may have been a balance thing, but for me it completely broke the game. I mean, it was story mode. Make it feel like a predator!
I can't really comment on much more than that. I have no idea what they based some of their decisions on, but when I played story mode the balance choices ruined my suspension of disbelief. That caused me to immediately throw it into my "no-play" bin.

Terrible Game

As a fan of the Movies and some prior games, I was very excited for this game. After buying it and playing it for a week, I am very disappointed with Revolution, the studio that produced it. My initial experience with the predator campaign was good, until I realized how weak the AI of enemies was and how repetitive the objectives and combat was. The same is true on the alien and Marine campaigns... all told the three campaigns together last about 8 hours or less. Multiplayer was an even greater disappointment, with bad matchmaking, bad host migration (if any) and weak gameplay due to the emphasis on close combat in a rock, paper, scissors fashion. Alot of kills are "stealth kills" similar to Tenchu or Grand Theft Auto where you can one hit kill from behind... unfortunately the animation takes so long that you are sure to get hit or killed by another player, rendering it more of a waste in multiplayer and a novelty in single player. I am also incredibly disappointed that the game comes with very few multiplayer maps unless you ponied up $100 for the special edition that came with a broken facehugger model.
My only question is, when will a real studio pick up this franchise and do it justice?!? Obviously there is a fan base... Please somebody make a good game about aliens, predators, and colonial marines!!!

The Best Video Game EVER MADE

This is the best video game ever made hands down. You can do so much cool stuff in it like killing aliens. As a marine you get these really BA weapons and stuff. As the Preditor its like being in the movie but instead you defeat Arnold. This game maybe more awesome than any ninja ever. Any one who plays this game will not stop for atleast 24-48 hours. The story line is the best only to be followed up by the most wicked online multiplayer fun.
