My son was so excited about getting this laptop for college but was not able to use it. We took it to Best Buy and they couldn't figure it out so they were going to have to send it off but we just got our money back.

A month ago, I wrote a review on the Alienware M17. It was a great laptop but I didn't like the screen. I saw that the store card for the m15 with the specs and price said it came with a 144hz screen instead of a 60hz one on the m17 for a much cheaper price. When I found out I exchanged the m17 with the m15 only to find I got miss leaded into getting another 60hz screen! On top of that I own a 144hz monitor and unless if the laptop screen will match the refresh rate of the monitor, it will not let the monitor run at 144hz and the picture was messing up whenever I plugged the laptop into it. All of my drivers and firmware where up to date with the latest versions and it still didn't work.
Would recommend buying an msi. I got a gs65 with the new i7 9th gen, gtx 1660ti graphics card, 144hz screen, and way better battery life for only $50 more of what this one costs.
