I purchased my Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251 after stopping into the Best Buy South Loop location in Chicago. I made about two trips of just browsing, and looking. I really took my time with my selection. After feeling every laptop that was on display, this one was the hottest of them all. At first, that turned me away but what became after that was choosing the one I slept on. I chose this model because of the RAM specifically. The screen isn’t my favorite after jumpshipping from a MacBook with Retina Display. But I cant complain about the refresh rate at a cool 240 Hz. The battery life, I only use this plugged in and I do complete shut downs after every use/play session. I do not intend to use this laptop for my personal use. It’s too big and clunky for that. I thought this would the kind of laptop to use while laying and lounging but I was wrong. Instead my set up is front of my lounge/recliner chair on a side table. I bought this laptop to play The Sims 3, which with all of the expansion packs, mods, and settings set to ultra, I finally healed my inner child. This laptop has great power settings, as it can automatically detect what you are doing. You have more battery profiles off of the charger but when you’re plugged in, you only have the options between balance or performance mode. Fans are loud. Like jet engine loud. But I don’t mind. This is a power house. This thing is a beast compared to the 1030 that was using before. And obviously in terms of software more than an Apple MacBook. This laptop also has gamepass included for a month (with credit card on file).

Performance on this laptop is excellent — fast, smooth, and handles games and programs with no issues. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop but only lasts me about 2 hours off the charger. The biggest downside is the heat, it can get pretty hot during use. Keyboard feels a little cheap compared to the rest of the build. No fingerprint scanner, but it does have Windows Hello face unlock which works great. Overall, a powerful machine with a few small trade-offs.

I bought the Alienware 16X Aurora for both work and gaming and it has exceeded expectations. Performance is the headline here. Everything is fast. Apps open instantly, multitasking stays smooth, and it handles demanding creative workloads without feeling stressed. Editing timelines, exporting, and running heavier software feels effortless, and when it’s time to game the RTX 5060 delivers great frame rates with settings pushed up. The 16 inch 2.5K display is a standout. It’s sharp, bright, and makes both content work and gaming look excellent. Build quality also feels premium and sturdy, and the keyboard and trackpad are comfortable for long sessions. Thermals have been solid for a thin performance laptop and it stays stable under load. If you want a laptop that can handle real work and still be a serious gaming machine, this one is an easy recommendation.

Great PC for the great price. I mostly use it for running heavy GPu consuming tools like VMware, VIsual Studio, RAG frameworks, and a lot of IDEs and browsers. Also for the gaming, I have played FC25 & League of Legends and runs smooth like a butter. Fan noise and heat is somewhat noticeable but other than that great purchase for the great deal.

Very capable machine. I purchased it primarily for software development. My tooling uses a lot of Ram as well as demands a fair bit from the CPU, this computer was able handle all of that and much more. The RTX 5060 is also quite capable are running games on high at 2560x1600 , which for my gaming habits is more than enough. The build quality is also great.

I recently purchased this Alienware gaming laptop as a gift for my daughter, and she is absolutely thrilled with it. The build quality is premium, and the performance is exactly what you would expect from a high-end gaming machine. It handles modern titles with high frame rates and remains surprisingly cool during long sessions. The display is sharp with great color accuracy, which makes it perfect for both gaming and school projects. It was very easy to set up right out of the box. If you are looking for a powerful and reliable laptop for a serious gamer, I highly recommend this model. It has been a fantastic purchase.

Every game I try to run on this laptop runs really well. I always play modern Final Fantasy games and they are usually high end and they run very well. Never have any lag at all. Anime looks incredibly crisp and never has issues either. Definitely a great computer especially for playing games and watching stuff. I’ve used it every single day since I got it. Battery life only last a couple of hours but I expect such from running high end games. Mostly use it in bed so it’s easy to charge from there. The keyboard is really nice as well. 10/10. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using this Alienware for a while now, and it has honestly exceeded my expectations in every way. I needed something powerful enough to handle demanding work and high-performance tasks, but still portable — and this machine delivers exactly that. Performance is outstanding. Heavy multitasking, resource-intensive programs, and even demanding games run incredibly smoothly with zero lag or slowdowns. One of the most impressive aspects is the cooling system — even under serious load, the laptop stays stable and doesn’t throttle performance. That reliability makes a huge difference during long sessions. The display is gorgeous. Colors are vibrant, brightness is excellent, and the smoothness of the screen makes everything feel more immersive, whether I’m working, watching content, or gaming. The keyboard is comfortable and solid, great for long typing sessions, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable — not flimsy or cheap. Another highlight is how fast everything loads. Boot times, program launches, and file transfers all feel instant. It truly feels like a high-end workstation in a portable form. Overall, this laptop combines power, design, and reliability in a way that makes it feel like a long-term investment rather than just another device. If you want top-tier performance in a well-built machine, this Alienware absolutely delivers.

The best birthday gift for my son and the best purchase in years. Its excellent Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, 32GB of RAM, and RTX 5060 deliver brutal performance for gaming and demanding tasks. The 240Hz display is super smooth, and the blue design gives it a unique touch. Everything loads super fast thanks to the 1TB SSD. 100% recommended! Thanks to Best Buy for always having the best technology available and making this premium experience possible.

I’ve had this computer for almost a month now, and my experience with it has over all been good. The computer handles almost everything I throw at it (mainly because I don’t really play demanding games) and has only had minor issues. I also found out that the computer only goes at full performance when it’s plugged it (since this is my first computer that isn’t a Chromebook that is my own). Overall the computer has given me a positive experience with it.

I use this laptop for control four programming and IT work at my job. I travel as well so I use it for gaming when out of town or at the house 10/10 would totally recommend this product. After a while the fans will run loud so I’d recommend a cooling tray for your laptop after a couple hours of playing hard video games (I never need to cool when at work, just fyi) . Outside of that it’s a 10/10

The laptop is fantastic! Powerful, fast, efficient, and trustworthy. I can play games, edit videos, complete work tasks, and more at great quality. This is definitely a best buy!

I purchased this laptop for casual gaming on new titles as well as using it as a mobile workstation with DaVinci resolve. The laptop handles everything great and works fast on heavy tasks. I purchased the matching 27in monitor for it as well. Everything works better than expected.

It is good but i didn't like the charger is a huge and the laptop’s charging port is located in an impractical position at the back of the device under the screen, which makes using it while charging inconvenient. In addition, the laptop is very heavy.

This laptop works perfectly period it is the seamless design that I enjoy, and when I purchased it from BestBuy, I had a great experience. I initially purchased the product and a week later it was for a lower price. I then took it back to BestBuy, and they honored there price match for lower price within the fourteen days period! I had a great full experience where purchasing one of my favorite laptops for the right price.

Its a mid tier laptop, with a very premium feel to it, great materials, very fast , great screen quality it almost feels like an oled with very deep darks, its got a rtx 5060 that handles any modern game in high specs, the fans are a bit loud but normal in a gaming laptop, in overall this is a great purchase even more so if you get a good deal on it.

Does everything you need, plays all the games I enjoy, Battery life is not the best and gets pretty hot when playing games otherwise good laptop.

Exceeded all expectations and has been a complete Champ . 10x better than my previous Alienware

The Alienware Aurora 16x is an incredible gaming PC. It delivers outstanding performance, runs smoothly even with demanding games.

Overall the quality of this gaming laptop is great and I recommend buying this product if you want to play any game at smooth settings.
