Well built solid laptop. Runs pretty much everything easily and stays cool. Great sound for a laptop as well.

Worth every penny runs like a top with way more features than have had on previous laptops. The 1070 runs the old republic with zero lag on max settings. Starts up in no time flat.

First the memory is not the 2666 MHz it is the 2400 MHz memory. The screen is not Nvidia G-Sync enabled. Please be aware the Alienware auto update may install the wrong drivers making the system internet non-functional. Killer has one unified driver that works for both the wireless and wired devices in this system. Auto installation attempts to install two separate drivers which work against each other making the internet less than functional. The video drivers also can get messed up making text difficult to see. Please be aware of this when starting the new system. The system is big and solid. Others in this class did not feel as solid and many had a flimsy feel and deflection of the keypad and system itself. The touch pad was responsive and the feel of the keypad is excellent. I like the back lit keys but I do not see the reason for zone colors. If it is not RGB back lighting why bother. Check all the LED's colors under the keypad keys. I had several that had 2 of the three LEDs stuck on a florescent green color. Though it didn't show through to the key top it did bleed out the bottom of the keys and was distracting. You will need room for this system but if you watch the auto updates and check things carefully you should be fine. This system will NOT FIT in a standard 17" computer case. Its design is bigger than any 17" case I could find and even the Alienware cases for a 17.3" system do not confirm this system will fit. I am struggling with what case to get for it. Any input on this would be appreciated. The Best Buy price is better than configuring in on Dell? Dell states the system components are not the same? Slower Memory, not a G Sync Screen, they didn't go into any other details but G Sync is another $50, faster memory another $100+. With coupons and being on sale the savings was more than $400 and you could pick it up at Best Buy. The warranty is lack luster and I would recommend getting better than the 1 year included with this system. When I called in for assistance the Dell technician was reluctant to help because the warranty was the basic one! I am not sure if I would recommend this system but I do believe it has be better build than similar systems and decided on it for that reason alone. Good luck there are so many options out there it can be over whelming. I am only giving this 3 stars due to the auto update issues and hours of trouble shooting I had to do to get the system to work correctly. This should not occur!

This is the first alienware laptop I have purchased. Its fast and I love it! The only issue I have with it, is notorious for alienware which it gets hot. I ended up buying a cooling pad to put underneath it and haven't had any issues since.

I bought this laptop when it was in clearance and got a 500$ off. I have used it primarily for gaming and running algorithms, and was satisfied with the performance. I would like to give 5 stars given the cost and the experience. However, there are two things to consider. First, the Killer network card doesn't work well. I experienced delay on connecting wifi and interruptions, while old laptop never had the problem. I end up with buying an ethernet cable and it solves everything. Second, it is too large and heavy to carry. I put it at home as a desktop. Once I tried to bring it but none of my backpack was able to fit.

This laptop was purchased solely to run a CNC Plasma Table software, on the go. It works great and has the added Ram and graphics I needed. Only downfall is its weight.

The weight is the most surprising part. Feels like 8 pounds but it plays so well with games. I also used this to make small games so game design friendly.

This thing is amazing. I picked one up brand new on clearance, and it is worth every penny. I’ve been loading games to it and so far I’ve been extremely happy with its performance. I haven’t thrown any brand new titles at it yet, but I have played Rainbow 6, COD: Ghosts, NFS: Most Wanted (2012) and Rise of the Tomb Raider; all of which run great, out of the box with no upgrades to RAM or NVME drives (yet ;) ) The OS loads fast and keyboard lighting is cool. This can easily be used as a desktop replacement if you have an external monitor keyboard and mouse. I highly recommend this unit.

I upgraded from the 17 R4 and the speed difference is noticeable. It's fast and great for all games and VR. It is a heavy machine and very limited for backpacks that can carry it and the charger block is massive.

I want to start by letting you know, I love this laptop its beautiful, fast and feels so good in the hand. Of course it is on the bigger side but is that really a bad thing, lol. Runs so smooth with the ability to clock everything thing from games to normal usage. Now with that said I didn't like how I open my allenwear laptop and the corner of it was smashed in brand new Dang computer spent over $1800.00 and its damaged took to best buy and they wouldn't exchange it I didnt even want my money back just a replacement of fixed. Its works perfectly just damaged sadly I dont see myself buying from here again and if I do I'll check my product BEFORE I leave the store.... summery lovely product horrible customer service.

This laptop is awesome, extremely fast. Has a lot of memory so it’s not an issue for gaming. I play WoW on it and the graphics are great. Love this computer.

This is my first Alienware computer. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with my purchase. I did my research before purchasing and it paid off. This machine screams through the latest titles at high and ultra settings. It can get hot during long gaming sessions so It’s important to get airflow underneath the laptop. I purchased a stand for this purpose. If your on the fence about this laptop, don’t be. You will not be disappointed.

Great laptop I have always been fond of Alienware products. Runs extremely well don't run hot and not overly loud I run the fans on performance just to make sure it stays cool.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He needed a good computer with a big screen and good graphics for his photography. He loves it.

This laptop is as powerful as my desktop. It is not as portable as I would like because of it's large size, but that is an o.k. trade off. I wish it had more USB ports.

Very nice and very fast! Graphics are awesome! Startup is faster than any laptop I’ve owned. A bit pricey but ultimately worth it.

Has great graphics and storage and it's a little big but the screen makes up for it

Incredible speed. I use it for photo and video editing and it’s perfect. Screen is only HD so I have it connected to a 4K monitor. No SD card slot is the only negative.
