Not much of an improvement over my Asus gaming laptop. Still took a while to do renderings. I returned it.

Excellent and fast one issue I have is if i leave it on overnight and it sleeps I lose the Network port, have to shut down and start again to get back

Bought it for my Son for Christmas, he loved it but not even 60 day’s in and it completely shut down and wouldn’t turn back on. We took it in for repair a month ago and still haven’t got it back. Last update was 3 weeks ago, telling us they had to order parts.

This computer hit all the points I was looking for except for a 2nd hard drive. I purchased that separately and had BestBuy install it. This is my 2nd Alienware. The first lasted over 7 years with many hours of use.

Open box Product description did not match actual specifications of the rig. The sticker on the box said this rig had 32GB memory and I9-12700k core. I still have the box with the description on it. I even asked the best buy team member about the box description as it said something about it not being the right box. He said, and I quote "Geek Squad checked it out, so the system should have what the box says", after seeing the description on the box with flags on it, saying something about it not being the right box. It was a lie. Double check open box product. I don't know who was in the wrong here, but I essentially got scammed.

Very powerful system, but I was told it’s not the best PC it’s to expensive you can literally make a better one with the same price

The price was steep to say the least. Cooling was another issue. 3080 was ok and ran a little warm. Also you could build the same pc for less than 2k

Here are the steps to troubleshoot your heating issue:
1. Update the system BIOS.

Thermals are terrible turns into a hotbox and cooks you after 3 or 4 hours of play

Hi There Jules,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We are sorry to hear you are having overheating issues with your Alienware Aurora R13 Gaming Desktop. It's important for us to hear about discrepancies in our products for consideration of future development. Below I have provided troubleshooting instructions with the full article that can help you resolve this issue.
Here are the steps to help resolve your heating issue:
1. Make sure the system is in a well-ventilated area.
2. Use laptops on flat surfaces to improve airflow. Hard table tops are recommended and avoid using any type of cloth or any other soft material under the laptop.
3. For desktop systems make sure there is enough clearance around the system to allow the air to flow. If the system is in an enclosure try to move it to a more ventilated area for testing.
4. Check that the air vents are clean and that nothing is obstructing them.
5. Update your system BIOS to the latest available on the Dell Support Site.
6. You can reset your BIOS settings to undo any changes that could be causing the system to overheat.
7. Disable NVIDIA G SYNC and run a stress test using SupportAssist.
8. Navigate to the Thermal Controls in the Alienware Command Center, which is found under the Fusion tab. There you can adjust the thermal control of system fans and change the status of active venting. This link is for the Alienware Command Center Quick Guide, where you can find a video to explain how to use the Manual Mode for the Thermal Controls: https://dell.to/3nZtYDm.

This jawn literally started acting up 2 days after I brought it… I returned it after 6 days of troubleshooting and trying to resolve the issue. It was disappointing since when it did run for the 15 minutes it would, it would do well but then it would crash so yeah, trash. Dont get it.

A wonderful pc. Upgrade the ram, I recommend going to Crucial, only because ram compatibility is difficult with this. They have a tool that will select ram that will work. Corsair seems to not work well in this, youll probably get lots of bluescreens if you use it. There isnt a game this thing cant play!

The Alien line continues to disappoint. Buy a pre built from a place like CyberPower.
