They must block out a lot of background sound as my kid won’t respond to me when he’s wearing these.

After adjusting settings to my liking in the alienware command center it's now my favorite headset ever and I've owned Astro A50, A40, and RIGs.

I love Alienware products but this headset kinda drops the ball in terms of use ability. I only gave it 3 stars because I can’t use it on my PlayStation 4 even though it says you can. Whenever I play with my friends there’s a huge echo. But other than that the quality is amazing the memory foam ear pieces are super comfy and the microphone retracts.

Ensure that "Listen to this device" is not selected in the Control Panel, by performing the following steps:
1. Right-click the Sound icon located in the lower right-hand corner.
2. Select the Recording tab.
3. Select the Alienware Headset form the list.
4. Touch or click Properties.
5. Select the Listen tab.
6. Make sure the check box to the left of Listen to this device is unchecked.
7. Touch or click OK.
8. Touch or click OK again.
Ensure that only one voice chat application is in use while playing a game.

Very clear and accurate when playing first person shooters. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of the swivel option of the ear buds area, it made it look flimsy and easy to break even though it didn't for me but I just felt like it wouldn't last long if dropped or accidentally pulled it from the plug. Otherwise it's a great headphones.

I only wanted these for gaming but the surround sound is so much better than my sound bar that I use them to watch movies now too. Ignore the low ratings due to them not having Lights on the sides.. really guys? get yourselves a pair of light up sketchers. the sound is more important than for you to feel like a glow in the dark my lil pony. one flaw I noticed is that they get dirty quickly, my hair gel tends to leave stains on the leather but an easy clean.
