I recently had the pleasure of enhancing my gaming setup with the Alienware AW510K Full-size Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, and I am thrilled to share what an exceptional addition it has been to my gaming arsenal! The standout feature of this keyboard is undoubtedly the CHERRY MX Low Profile Red switches. The keystrokes are not only incredibly responsive but also satisfyingly smooth, making every press feel precise and effortless. Whether engaged in fast-paced gaming or typing tasks, the low-profile design adds a new level of comfort and speed to the overall experience. The RGB Back Lighting is nothing short of mesmerizing. The customizable lighting options allow for a personalized touch to match any gaming setup. It's not just about aesthetics; the dynamic lighting effects also enhance the gaming atmosphere, immersing me further into the virtual worlds I explore. The build quality of the AW510K is exceptional. The full-size layout provides all the keys I need without sacrificing any functionality. The durable construction ensures longevity, and the Lunar Light finish adds a touch of sophistication that complements my overall gaming aesthetic. Customization is key in the gaming world, and the Alienware Command Center software makes it incredibly easy to tailor the keyboard to my preferences. From macro programming to adjusting lighting profiles, the intuitive interface puts control at my fingertips. The wired connection ensures a lag-free experience, crucial for competitive gaming where split-second decisions matter. The braided cable adds a layer of durability and prevents tangling, allowing for a hassle-free gaming session. In conclusion, the Alienware AW510K has proven to be an outstanding gaming keyboard. With its CHERRY MX Low Profile Red switches, customizable RGB lighting, solid build quality, and user-friendly customization options, it has become an integral part of my gaming setup. I sure love the look of the white keyboard. The Alienware AW510k is a low profile mechanical keyboard that uses the new Cherry MX Red low-profile switches. When Alienware says 'low-profile', they really mean it. The keyboard itself is thin, leaving the keys about the height of thekeyboard on a laptop. It does have 3 height/angle positions though (flat, and two-stage legs which increases the height of the rear by increase of 2.5cm or 3.5cm) so just about anyone should be able to find a height they like. It's a wired-only keyboad that features USB passthrough and has a mute button and a volume wheel. It's an RGB keyboard with support for over 16 million colors. The AW510k uses an aluminum frame, with a plastic exterior. This white version has a matte finish, and looks incredible in my opinion. It connects using braided wire with a length of about 6 ft. Looks and lighting aside, the main function of the keyboard is typing, or as a gaming keyboard inputing commands by pressing keys. The thing about that though, is it's highly subjective. What I like may not work for you, and vice versa. The low-profile Cherry MX switches are quite different from the full size Cherry MX switches I have on another keyboard, and the experience is quite different. They swap out the sharp keypress of the full size switch for something a bit.. softer and squishier, and not as crisp. They still offer a nice typing experience. They have a high actuation and there's enough resistance you don't actually mistype. For gaming, they are stiff enough for resting fingers and while the travel is slightly shorter, it's not like hitting an on/off switch - there is some feedback. Still, that squishy feeling may disappoint if someone's press is a sharp, firm feel. The AW510K also supports masking of WINdows keys and lighting control through the corresponding combination of FN+Function keys. If you have an Alienware PC, this keyboard also supports changing keys through Alenware Control Center. I really like the low profile and looks, but the feel of the key may appeal to some more than others. You just have to try it for yourself, but it's certainly worth considering, especially if you are looking for a low profile keyboard with RGB lighting.

The keyboard looks great and functions as I expected it to. Ez to clean witch is always a plus. The leds are bright as turning on a room light at night. If i had any problems with it at all... id say its with the software from Alienware. However i cant really blame the physical keyboard for that. I use it from gaming and typing about 10 hours a day. And its still rocking. Overall im happy. Payed about 130 for it. So try and get it on sale! If i had to pay 150... it be pushing it. Honesty at 150 id say it better be made of all metal. Lol hell at 150 i better be able to put it in my dishwasher to clean it. Jokes aside from what i payed, i like it. And would be happy to tell others to at least look at it.

As someone with a gaming laptop, these low profile keys are pretty great and comfortable to use. The build quality is great. Mostly aluminum and a rigid base frame is nice but the keys have some wobble to them so its not the most sturdy device. The low profile cherry mx red switches are fast and linear as expected but the key switch feel varies around the keyboard. Some keys like the Function row are mostly smooth and linear while the main Letter keys have some scratchiness and a tiny amount of ping depending on how fast or sweaty you're typing. I think my favorite key to press is the backspace because it has this subtle tactile bump when you bottom out the press that also sounds like a tiny click. Overall I like typing on the AW510K, the keys are spaced out nicely and the RGB on the lunar light model is chefs kiss. The Alienware Command Center software to adjust the RGB lighting is still janky, which make the keyboard lose points in ease of use category. But I've had an Alienware gaming laptop for 3 years so I have experience with their whack software.

This keyboard is excellent for gaming. Previous keyboard was the aw768 keyboard with Khailh brown switches and upgrading to Cherry Red was game-changing. It took some time to adjust to the linear switches, but the responsiveness is just next level when it comes to gaming. Very smooth that takes little effort to press and no loud clicking (Khailh switches would tire out my fingers after a while). I really like the RGB on this keyboard, almost has a translucent effect and I got the DSOTM color. If you are worried about the linear switches, then get the aw410k which uses Cherry Brown switches, but I have not tested that one. Also, the new model that was just released, the aw420k, is essentially the same keyboard as the aw510k without the numeral keypad and volume scroll bar (which I find very convenient) and I think the AW RGB logo does not light up on that one. Get this while you can on sale for the $116 and you have a long holiday return policy to test it out. ***One key note, when you first set this up with the AWCC, for some odd and stupid reason it automatically has the “Go Dim” feature turned on….so the keyboard will dim itself randomly even if it’s max brightness. Turn this setting off in the AWCC under your FX settings for the keyboard. Overall I give the aw510k a 9/10 for gaming (typing is a breeze too, but if typing is your main concern then maybe get the Cherry Brown w/ the previous aw410k model). In conclusion, IMO, Cherry (Red) > Khailh for gaming.

The Alienware Wireless Mouse is hands down one of the best mice I’ve ever used! The build quality is top-notch, with a sleek and modern design that fits perfectly with my gaming setup. It feels solid yet lightweight, making it incredibly comfortable for both long gaming sessions and daily work tasks. I also appreciate the ergonomic design, which offers excellent grip and reduces hand strain, even after hours of use. Battery life is outstanding, and charging is quick and easy. Plus, it’s compatible with both PC and Mac, which is a huge bonus. When it comes to gaming keyboards there are a lot to choose from and I am often asked if there is really a difference? Absolutely! The Alienware AW510K Wired Mechanical Keyboard takes industry leading technology and puts it into a high quality and very aesthetically pleasing keyboard. Pros: *Cherry MX switches: These are linear switches and among the best for competitive gaming. They have the simplest operation moving straight up and down without any feedback or traditional "clicking" noise mechanical keyboards are known for. These switches allow for the fastest response. In gaming milliseconds can make the difference. Why put yourself at a disadvantage? *Aesthetics: It comes in all white or black and will finish any computer build nicely. *Software: A quick Google search will bring you to the Dell webpage where you can download the keyboard software (Alienware Command Center). This software allows you full control of your keyboard from the color of the lighting with the ability to set different themes or game specific profiles and macro set-up. It is easy to navigate and user friendly. *Ergonomics: The keys float and the keyboard is one of the most comfortable I have used. I really commend the team who designed this because they nailed it. *USB Passthrough: This keyboard requires 2 USB slots on the motherboard. It offers a USB passthrough on the back left. *Media Keys: In the top right corner of the keyboard there is a rolling volume adjust and mute button which are nice additions allowing for quick adjustment in system volume. *Packaging: Minimalist packaging which is good for the environment. Box looks nice and protects the keyboard well. Cons: *It could use a small card with the website to the firmware. Overall: This keyboard is absolutely amazing. It looks great, has in my opinion the best ergonomics of any keyboard I have used, and has the features top tier keyboards offer. Don't think twice about purchasing this. You will not regret it.

The switches on this keyboard are magnificent. I love trying new keyboards and switch out my gear frequently because my mood changes. This keyboard hasn't left my desk since I set it up and I don't think it will be leaving anytime soon. The keys are so easy to type on. I like how quiet it is especially when sharing an office. The lights are as bright or subtle as you want. The low profile of the keyboard makes it comfortable to use without a wrist rest. I am a fan.

I'm an alienware laptop user. The keys are slightly higher profile and require a tiny bit more pressure to click compared to the laptop. The lighting configuration isnt segmented the way I'd expect. But I'm really enjoying this purchase. The colors are bold and fun while providing a sleek aesthetic.

Awesome all the way round. Very little sound and pressice, smooth, light weight low profile keys, reads each stoke with the slightest press on a 40% depressed press. The rgb is a plus that satisfies, custom to the game, look up the app for details no joke and no cap except for the key. Comparable to the Logitech g915 fullsize. The USB cable is thick and braided, I have never had a more solid keyboard cable but I normally get budget boards and did my research for this one.

Beautiful keyboard, very comfortable to use. The vertical movement of the keys is less than some other keyboards, which, for me, helps a lot with pain in my left hand from gaming for long periods of time. I do wish this product was available in a wireless option too, but this keyboard is so good, I’m willing to sacrifice that feature.
