Very dissapointed
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan gets as loud as a vacuum cleaner at a car wash when you are barely doing anything. Wasnt even gaming. Also the internet keeps cutting in and out and I had a wired connection. Yes the wire works, Im using it right now on another tower. Not alienware.

Thanks for your review. To help with your system noise you may want to try to update the BIOS on your computer:
A new BIOS version for your system was released in early September. Here's a link to where you can download the new BIOS from: https://dell.to/2kq8a9f.
To improve the connectivity on your computer, we'd suggest the following steps:
1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center
8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

We're sorry to hear that your fans are running loud for you. We'd recommend some of these tips to help with the fan noise if downloading the latest BIOS and software have not worked for you:
Cleaning the Vents
1. Check the vents on the computer to see if they are covered with dust and not allowing heat and air to pass through.
2. Turn off the system.
3. Remove all power sources: Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery, or unplug the desktop power Cord.
4. Use a compressed air can to blow the dust out of the vents. Be sure to hold the can at an upright angle (near 90 degrees), and hold it 15-20 centimeters (6-8 inches) away from the vent. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.

Greatly Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two issues with this product. 1. Fan is extremely noisy and comes on repeatedly even at low to moderate use. So disruptive I cannot use web conferencing features. 2. With moderate use over the last year it is now stalling intermittently. With all the great news about this product prior to purchasing I am truly disappointed especially for a system over $1400.

Awful thermals
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer for the cost was by far the most annoying computer I have ever purchased. It literally sounded like a shopvac going off the fans were so loud. I returned after just owning for 2 days after researching online and realizing it was a limitation to the case that dell would never fix.

Great Value, Low Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as an open-box due to the significant discount. I could only assume that the reason this was either returned or taken off the display was due to a very loud humming rattle when under load. Within 2 minutes of taking the front panel off I was able to isolate it to the HDD bracket. It had slight vibration, nothing a rubber strip couldn't remedy. I've been using this for about a month and it has kicked every games rear with steady 120 fps on ultra. As someone who travels a lot for work this was an easy plug and play. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to build their own rig or just doesn't have the time.
