Awesome laptop, little bit loud but looks super good.

I've been using the Alienware m15 R5 for the past three years, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I originally bought it for work, running demanding software like SolidWorks and Blender, and it handles them flawlessly. The performance is smooth, rendering is fast, and multitasking is effortless. When it comes to gaming, this laptop is an absolute beast. The RTX 3070 paired with the 360Hz FHD display delivers an incredibly smooth and immersive experience. Every game I’ve played has run exceptionally well, even at high settings. One of the things I appreciate the most is its reliability. In three years, all I’ve done is keep it clean—no issues, no unexpected crashes, nothing. It just works. The build quality is solid, and the keyboard feels great for both gaming and productivity. Yes, it does get a bit warm under heavy load, but it has never caused any problems for me. The cooling system does its job well, and I haven’t noticed any performance drops due to heat. Overall, this is one of the best investments I’ve made. Whether for work or play, the Alienware m15 R5 continues to perform like a champ. If you're looking for power, reliability, and top-tier gaming performance, this laptop is a fantastic choice!

I got an open box certified. It came with a dead pixel so I went and try to change it. They gave me 3 options: pay the difference and get a new one, order another open box certified (they would give me a gift card with the value of my purchase and then i would have to order online. I got the laptop on discount so if the price went up by the time I use it I’d be losing money. The third option was get my card reimbursed. I choose the reimbursement. Really disappointed and bad experience.

I liked this laptop until 26 days after the purchase the screen just went off while I'm gaming and couldn't turn it on again!! Took it back to best buy and they thankfully gave me a store credit

I picked up it this morning, when I back home, I started it , but it is not working, the power light flashes red twice and blue once, again and again. I check the manual that cpu is failure, so returned. Customer service is very nice.

It’s been a little over two years now since I’ve bought this laptop and it’s still working perfectly. It’s fast (always a surprise to see it boot up so quickly), reliable, and looks great when playing games. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but I think it’s worth every penny. It does tend to run a little hot so I definitely recommend getting a cooling pad for it as that’s pretty much addressed my main concern with it. Other than that I tend to keep using this laptop for the foreseeable future and recommend it to anyone looking to get into computer gaming but can’t quite afford a full desktop setup.

This laptop is great, our of the box i was a bit worried after resding the reviews about that, however after doing some research and figuring out the tcc offset switch in the bios settings this thing is perfect, i recommend anyone after a fresh setup and complete install of updates and such you go into your bios and go to tcc and enter 10-15 for the value this will make sure your laptop doesnt exceeed 90-85 degrees celcius. there is a very slight performance decrease but is almost unnoticeable especially if you are running on a secondary display. I hope this imformation helps any future buyers, this thing is a power house and runs pretty much all of the AAA titles no problem!

This is a trooper! We have it for a very long time (for a gaming laptop like this). One of the keyboard keys fell and needed replacement. It was serviced immediately free of charge (it has a longer warranty than other products), by replacing the entire keyboard so it looked like new. It is noisy when cooling, like any other gaming laptop but with an inexpensive cooling base it is really fast. It is sleek and robust. Highly recommended!

You get what you pay for, I don’t know where to start. This is my very first Alienware; I upgraded from the HP Omen (also a great entry level gaming laptop). This one however, packs a punch in the refresh rate! I wondered why it was pricier than the other laptops with the same graphics card; this has a much faster processor and undeniable amazing refresh rate. Forza Horizon 5 looks and plays amazing on this laptop. As usual, you can customize the power/fan levels depending on the performance you want to run. You can game for hours and it doesn’t really get too hot as the cooling works well, especially when paired with an external fan. Overall, well worth it. Just typical con like with almost any other gaming laptop; those fans run loud when you want to play at a higher performance; also battery life can vary.

I have had thos laptop for about 3 years now and i love it. It works grate for the games i play and for my time making dnd campaigns. The only bad thing i would say about it is that when the fan kicks in it does get a bit loud.

Absolutely love this laptop! It was a xmas gift for my son last year and it was our first 'gaming laptop'. Has definitely lived up to its reputation. Now I'm very smart with computers but i hadnt fully explored what was good vs bad in the gaming category so i spent 3 months researching... and in the end, this was the winner! Its speed has yet to let us down. He can play all major games & the space is great! (Granted he's on the low side now but that's bc he has ALOT on there & games take up alot of space compared to the old days). But overall... i really LOVE alienware! The design is very sleek, and smooth. The keyboard is quiet, which my son loves! & the whole set up is great! Not to mention, we havent had a problem with it heating up at all. (Even though i purchased the best cooling pad on the market, we havent needed it yet) So overall.. it's a 5 star laptop for me! Now like i said.. im not super into all the deep technological aspects, but I'm very tech savvy & i love this... as does my son!!

It’s very rare that I actually do reviews but this gaming laptop is in need of a much needed review. A powerhouse is how it should be advertised the absolute best AMD mobile cpu on the market as well as one of the best graphics cards. That being said the computer can get HOT but this has gotten way better through a series of bios and updates. It’s only advertised as 300hz on the box but it’s actually 360hz which was a nice little bonus. Compared to the m15 R6 this is a much better deal minus PCI 4,0 for ssds but you will only see a difference of less then a millisecond for read/writes. The m15 R5 also gets much better battery life with the less power hungry AMD cpu. This laptop also features IR facial scanning with windows Hello so it makes it absolute breeze to login. The laptop also has two upgradeable NVME m.2 SSD slots. And after a much needed do-over finally allows gamers to replace the DDR4 ram with two slots. My recommendation going forward if doing having gaming is to purchase a cooling bad but that’s about normal for gaming laptops. If you want something that looks sharp and feels premium this is it.

Great laptop it runs great and was useful for my college courses for 3D interactive technology. The computer can run some high end games with no problems tho it can get hot so would reccomend lower settings no ultra. Blender and Unity work great with this laptop be able to my scenes and game levels easily.

I really love this laptop. The picture quality is great and so is the overall speed. The software is really nice and easy to learn. Great for gaming. The only down side is, you have to leave it plugged in not matter what you're doing. The battery life on it is horrible.

I bought this for work/gaming. It has a clear beautiful screen, the graphics are crisp and it runs so smooth!

Picked up this laptop for $1700 and it is a good deal at that price. Other reviews talk about it getting hot and the graphics card being crippled. Dell has released a firmware update to address the video card issue, so no worries there. As far as the heat, it does get warm at full settings. I set the refresh rate at 60hz instead of the 360hz it advertises and the temps drop dramatically! It didn’t look any different in game, but it was much quieter without the high fan noise. Overall it is extremely fast, upgradeable, has a bunch of ports and it has a great screen.

Great laptop, little heavy. Only issue Ive ever run into after using it for multiple years was a need to exchange the battery for the sake of being able to use it off the charger towards the end of its life. Battery replacement was super easy to replace on my own, just needed a small enough phillips screw driver and it was like brand new in like half an hour of work.

Excellent laptop for the price. The 300hz display is awesome. Lots of vibrant colors. The pairing of cpu and gpu gives a nice performance and smooth feel. Keyboard after a year still feels awesome. With any gaming laptop I recommend a cooling pad just to make sure all temps stay good and low with high demand games.
