Amazing Laptop.

Great midrange gaming laptop. Super sharp, vibrant screen, and crisp colors. I mostly use it work, which I have to carry on with me daily. Not an ideal task due to its weight. However, I do not mind at all. If you have the budget, don’t worry overthink it too much, I’m sure you will be happy too.

So far so good. I got this to replace the M-15 model that I purchased that did not work. Brought the defective one back and paid extra for this one. It's a great machine.

I’m not the biggest alienware fan but this laptop has blown other alienware laptops out the park! The soecs are great with the 3070ti, 16gb ram and 512 ssd. Still not the biggest fan of the design of the back of the laptop but still better than before…

Really buggy hardware and software

This is my secodn unit that I will be returning. I don’t know whats going on over at Dell’s Alienware division but their recent Alienware models are such garbage. Their software for updating their firmware and drivers updates itself and crashes, their RGB lighting system also locks up and crashes on the regular. Lights will reset and not remember its configuration. The switchable GPU crashes hard sometimes, even using stable studio drivers, so if I’m doing Unreal Engine work, I have to constantly save due to hardware instability. It’s just not ideal. I miss the big, chunky Alienware laptops that could upgrade every little piece of hardware and could run a desktop CPU and run whisper-cool. Now theyre trying to make thier laptops slim and sleek, but in doing so, trade off upgradability (everything is soldered on the mainboard) and these laptops run HOT. I have an Alienware 18 that runs at 68C on load with a desktop CPU, and this new alienware runs at 98C on load with a mobile CPU. Hard pass on this everyone. Ive seen better built Acer laptops.
