That this product is still available for purchase is disgusting. There is a serious and dangerous flaw with this laptop. Not to mention absolute trash wifi card and wifi abikity to download a game on steam deck. The M16 R1 ryzen 9 rtx 4080 diaster black screened while downloading battlefield V huffin' and puffin' for over 6 hrs until mission complete blackscreen failure! Be careful with this possible fire hazard! It's half baked melting dumpster fire igniter! DO NOT BUY!!!! PLEASE HAVE THIS DELL DISASTER TAKEN OFF THE BEST BUY PRODUCT LIST.

To help you with the heating issues that you are having, I have provided troubleshooting steps with the full article below that can resolve the issue.
1. Update the system BIOS.
2. Configure Alienware Command Center.
•Open Alienware Command Center
•Set the Active System Theme - Thermal as Performance Mode
3. When the system boots up, using the preinstalled software Dell SupportAssist run the stress test.
•Dell SupportAssist > Hardware Checkup > CPU > CPU stress test
4. Launch the Alienware Command Center and go to Fusion and monitor the CPU frequency. Ensure that the CPU frequency is within the range during the first 5 minutes under performance mode.
5. Monitor the CPU temperature on the Fusion page
•The CPU peak temperature should be less than or equal to (≤) 100 ℃
•When under high stress, the system average temperature can be expected to be less than (≤) 100 ℃

I enjoyed the product functions fine my only problem was that I wasn’t given a charger for it. Nor did they accommodate one so essentially I didn’t get the best price with having to buy a 100 dollar charger other then that good condition.

Despite being a laptop, it is still a power house for what it can do. Most games on max settings. And it's mobile, so you can take this wherever you want.

DELL WILL NOT HONOR MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY FOR RETURNS IF YOU BUY VIA BEST BUY!!! This is a warning to any future Dell/Alienware purchasers. Avoid purchasing this or any Dell/Alienware products via Best Buy if you do not plan on buying extended coverage. Dell and Best Buy do not make this known and I have learned the hard way. I purchased this laptop twice (M16 R1) and they have both have given me blue debug screens within the first 2-3 weeks. Please learn from my mistakes, AVOID THIS COMPUTER AT ALL COST, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE SALE AVOID IT.

Lots of issues out of the box. Overheating, dead Motherboard, heatsink issues. Had to send to Dell 2x within 6 months for repair. Dell refuses to replace it after 30 days. Skip Dell products
