While in Japan I used this device to recharge, Camera Batteries, Mobile Phones and Tablets without any issue. The device being charged never showed any signs of taking too much voltage or getting hot at the charge points.

Works well overseas, but could be overkill

Great travel adapter and converter

Recommend you buy the "all in one" style so you don't have loose plugs to get away from you. Also recommend you take a power strip along in your travels as well. After plugging your adapter into the wall outlet, plug your power strip into it to recharge your other electronics -- cell phones, laptop, etc., all at once.
