This item worked great and met all expectations. Was worried about using my flatiron but it worked and didn't burn out.

Terrible bulky product that not only didn't work but caused my hair dryer and flat iron to fry out. Couldn't use apple phone charger etc. with out it over heating. I was on a 30 day trip so returned as soon as I got back only to be told it couldn't be returned because if fell outside the 15 day return policy! Very costly to me to not only not get my money back for terrible product but I had to replace by hair appliances and had to buy a better converter when I was in Europe.

Purchased for sons trip to England and France. Performed as needed.

After reading reviews on multiple converters, I opted to purchase this unit based upon the positive feedback from previous buyers. It was purchased for my daughter's recent trip to China with her cheerleading team. Through all the hair drying, hair curling and charging applications, the converter worked flawlessly - so much so that other girls on the team used my daughter's converter after theirs failed. Definitely a great testimony to the quality of the product.

Great buy and will come handy if you are travelling abroad. I had to return in my case.

I saw this while looking for a universal converter, and bought it as well. Great for charging my phone and e-cig at the same time!

I hate to leave this review, but I feel obligated to tell the truth, especially after getting a response back from Insignia Customer Care concerning my issues. I purchased this device for a business trip to Europe where I needed to charge my cell phone, laptop, and other items needed for business. To make a long story short, two of my expensive items were completely damaged. The repairs and replacement cost are in the hundreds of dollars. I'm sure that I received a defective convertor, but customer service from Insignia didn't care to even have me bring in the device to a local store, much less send it in to them, before letting me know via email that they were not concerned with my issues. Obviously, you will be using the product at your own risk and frankly, if you are like me, the risk wouldn't be worth it again.

I used this converter for my trip to Brazil and it worked perfectly.

I can only speak to the use of this in S. Korea (and any country that uses the same outlet), but this was unusable as an adapter. This did not fit well into the outlet and was a balancing act trying to keep it from falling out. Because of this I did not even attempt to use it as a converter.
