    Purchased this to use on our trip to New Zealand. It did work as intended, but the outlets in NZ have a switch above the outlet that you need to turn on to get power, and if you use this adapter, it will hit that switch if set flush against the outlet, so you would have to adjust it at an angle for it to work (you will see the blue light turn on)

    this is a good unit because it works in a variety of countries and is compact. I'm only sorry I didn't buy an extra one because I didn't realize how many gadgets needed to be recharged at the end of the day.
